VERY fun day at the Briarwood Derby Day on the grounds of Princeton Show Jumping June 13. Both Erica Paul / Rumsy and Erin Ryan / Brodie competed in the $500 Outreach Hunt and Go Hunter Derby. This is Rumsey and Erica. Keep in mind Rumsey is 28ish years young!

MEET THE HORSES: Toby aka Lovin’ Livengood (named after ancestor Tobias Livengood b.1813) is a 2013 PA bred OTTB (JC: Coral Island). He had 3 starts at Penn National before retiring in Jan 2016. Holley Russell has owned him since March 2016. Toby’s career highlights to date include Bucks County Horse Park Tuesday Evening Dressage series Reserve Champion at Intro Dressage and Highest Scoring Thoroughbred Intro Dressage awarded by TIP. This winter he completed his first horse trial (Majestic Oaks in Reddick, FL) finishing 5th out of a field of 16 and on his dressage score. Toby is a kissing spine success story. Ask Holley about their gastric ulcer and kissing spine journey together and the benefits of MagnaWave! Look for Jimmy and Toby in the Jumpers (and maybe a horse trial??!!) this year and Holley and Toby in Dressage.

MEET THE HORSES: Winnie is a Haflinger that Anna Mosko purchased in January of 2015 from Eleanor Vallone of Val’s Corral. Eleanor had pulled Winnie from an auction at New Holland. She is now 11 years old and has competed in low level eventing, dressage, hunter, and jumpers. Her favorite thing in the world is to eat and she will do just about anything for a treat. She is wonderful with children and will jump her heart out for her more experienced riders. Winnie has been at FMF since 2018 and loves to be spoiled by Anna, her daughter Penelope, and Gracie Storz. Look for her showing this year in her second show season with Gracie. FYI – She is the only pony Jimmy Soley has ever ridden!

Anyone interested in saddle evaluation? Stop in tomorrow afternoon (Saturday May 15). We will be evaluating Jimmy's saddle on Dom, dressage and jump saddles on Toby, and maybe more! All saddles are wool flocked and will certainly involve some flocking changes. Come in and learn a bit about saddle fit!
