PET OF THE WEEK: PACO 🐾

We didn’t realize how much we ALL needed this Dolly Parton pep talk today. Especially Paco. This sweet boy has been waiting far too long for his loving family, and sometimes it’s easy to get discouraged. But we’re here to remind Paco that he IS enough. He’s smart, gentle, affectionate, eager to please, and has SO much love to give.

Just look at him showing off his skills! Sit? Nailed it. Stay? You got it. Being the goodest boy? Effortless. 🥹

Paco is the ultimate sidekick, whether you’re heading out on an adventure, running errands, or snuggling on the couch. All he’s missing is someone to share it all with.

We know his people are out there. People who will see just how special he is and wonder how they ever lived without him.

We’re still not over this PAW-TY! 🐾🎉 It’s been a week since Party Like An Animal took over The Ameswell, and these beautiful photos from our friend Steven Rice have us reliving all the fun!

From furry friends and the photo booth to Los Trancolizers, a lively auction and paddles flying high, our community showed up BIG for animals who depend on us.

Paco got OUT of the shelter for and proved he’s basically the perfect plus-one. He went shopping, explored the town, cruised around in the car, and soaked up all the attention along the way. And his report card? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paco is exceptionally well-behaved, obedient, eager to please, and an absolute dream in the car. He loves exploring on leash, happily tags along wherever you’re headed, and charms pretty much everyone he meets.

But his favorite part of the day? Just being with people. ❤️ Paco is incredibly affectionate and will happily lean in for hugs, cuddles, and all the love you’re willing to give.

He always would love to explore with you! Or even make his next trip out of the shelter to be permanent! 😉

Workin’ 9 to 5… to get ADOPTED! Meet Cordelia & Tabitha, two adorable 3-month-old girls who have officially made finding a home their full-time job.

These sweet kittens absolutely adore each other, and while they can be adopted separately, we’d love nothing more than to see these besties clock out of shelter life together.

In honor of the one and only Dolly Parton, we’ve got these girls working 9 to 5: making biscuits, chasing toys, looking ridiculously cute, and waiting for someone to finally give them the promotion they deserve: a loving family.

The internet asked man or bear? We choose the bear! 🐻Especially when the bear looks like THIS.

Technically, this ridiculously cute creature is a dog… but we’re not here to argue semantics. Fluffy? ✅ Bear-shaped? ✅ Would absolutely choose? YES. ✅

Doors are opening soon for Clear the Shelters weekend and Missy is ready! But this big girl does a lot more than drool. She’s an expert cuddler and napper, too! If you’re looking for a 99-pound lap dog with more to love, you’ve found your girl.

In honor of Clear the Shelters, Missy and all our adult dogs and cats have waived adoption fees this weekend! Now is the time to meet the new love of your life.
