Here is our handsome AV Press's Pet of the week: 😉T.J.🐕‍🦺

ANIMAL ID #: A5757227
ANIMAL NAME: TJ

TJ is a one (1) old altered male black/brown Labrador Retriever mix. He was brought to the Palmdale Animal Care Center as an owner surrender stating he is destructive.

TJ is continuously socialized by the volunteers, and he enjoys his day out of the kennel and getting petting affection from the volunteers. Because he was taken as an owner surrender for being destructive, this young pup could benefit if taken to dog behavior training where his energy could be redirected to positive behavior and giving him and his new owner or owners a great rest of this young adult life.

Come and visit him at the Palmdale Animal Care Center during its public hours of 11am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays. You could be the best home for this handsome young pup.

Board of Supervisor's Pet of the week:❤️❤️CINNAMON❤️❤️

ANIMAL ID #: A5777389
ANIMAL NAME: CINNAMON

Cinnamon is a one (1) year old female white and brown Australian Cattle Dog mix. She was brought to the Palmdale Animal Care Center as an owner surrender.
Her previous owner stated they do not have a home.

While being examined by the medical staff, she showed her happy self with upright posture, she was relaxed and flexible, wiggly tails and she approaches readily. She walked well on leash and was acceptable when brought to the kennels.

During her play yard time, April was relaxed with soft eyes and an open mouth pant as she was easily collared by the runner. She remained loose while greeting several dogs through the fence. She entered the yard and exchanged soft greetings with several dogs. She appeared slightly wary of a young, male pit bull who enticed her for play as she leaned away from him.

She spent a few moments calmly exploring the yard, tolerating several dogs trailing next to her. She was wiggly with the handlers while soliciting affection as she explored. She did lightly jump on them and will need basic manners training. She did engage in some light chase play with the male pit bull. She was not comfortable with him pawing and jumping on her side.

She periodically snapped at him when his play became too rough. She also engaged in some gentle/dainty play with a large, female pit bull. She liked chase play without any contact. She remained social and playful for the rest of her stay in the yard.

April is BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, LARGE DOGS OK, MEDIUM ENERGY. She is available for adoption and could meet you and your family at the Palmdale Animal Care Center during its open hours of 11am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

Here is our wonderful BOS Pet of the week: 💕💕APRIL💕💕

ANIMAL ID #: A5743155
ANIMAL NAME: APRIL

April is a one(1) year three(3) months altered female tan German Shepherd. She was previously adopted but was returned to the Palmdale Animal Care Center due to lack of time and attention from her previous owner.

Before she was adopted, April was a happy-tail wagging young lady. Seeking attention from the medical staff and her handler. Easy to leash and has a friendly approach. But it was noticeable that her demeanor changed when she was being reprocessed by the medical staff. April was aloof, showing scared and seemed very intimidated. She allowed being handled and being examined and showed no aggression, she was just simply afraid.

During her play yard time with the volunteers, she finally was relaxed, seeking attention from the volunteers and wanting petting. April seems to be finding her friendly and happy tail wagging self.

She is now available for adoption to any family that will give her the love, affection and time she truly deserves. You can meet her at the Palmdale Animal Care Center during its open to the public hours of 11am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays. Come meet this beautiful dog and maybe you will be the best home she can call her forever.

ANIMAL ID #: A5775501
ANIMAL NAME: FLIP

An altered male, three (3) year old, white/brown Chihuahua Shorthaired stay is named FLIP. This handsome chi was found running the Streets of 4000 block of Karling Place East of Palmdale.

Flip was observed wagging his tail while being examined. And although he allowed being handled during his medical examination, there were weariness observed in his eyes. He didn't like his mouth being touched and being picked up as well.

A few days later and a few socialization, Flip was observed to have changed his demeanor to a happy, tail wagging, seeking affection dog. He loves being handled and he allowed being examined.

During his surgery for neutering, he showed his best behavior as a happy dog and welcoming handling from the staff and the volunteers.

Meet our Board of Supervisor's Pet of the week - for this weekend!
😎😉LUCKY😉😎
ANIMAL ID #: A5772870
ANIMAL NAME: LUCKY

Lucky is approximately one (1) year 7months male brown/black German Shepherd/Malinois mix. He was surrendered by his owner with no stated reasons.

While being examined, Lucky was noticed to be wobbling while walking and faring his hind legs. He allowed being examined by the medical staff but showed a little weariness and showing some concerns in his eyes but no aggression at all.

When he was taken to the play yard, he was loose while seeking affection from the handlers, rolling over playfully and lightly pawing at him as the collar was clasped around his neck. He was very unstable walking as his back legs did not appear to have proper motor skills.

He slowly entered the yard and stood at the gate. He had soft eyes as a female pit bull came up calmly to greet him. He exchanged a soft greeting with her. He took a few steps and stopped before a female husky came up ad lingered near his face. He was not comfortable with her proximity and quickly exposed his teeth to her. He was also wary of a male Corso who came up playfully. He leaned away while exposing his teeth, not comfortable with his energy.

He shadowed his handler, seeking affection with a loose body. He was then enticed for play by the female pit bull. He exposed his teeth while leaning back and fell on his back end. The other dogs were backed away, and he was removed from the yard at this time to avoid any injury. He may do best in a home with only calm dogs due to his weak hind legs. He was taken back to his kennel without issue.

BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, CALM DOGS (REQ), LOW ENERGY. He is now available for adoption and could meet you and your family at the Palmdale Animal Care Center during its open to the public hours of 11am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays. You could be the family that will be able to care for this handsome polite dog.
