Hey fur-friends and human pals! Valentine — professional snuggler, treat taste-tester, and your official spokesdog for National Pet Holidays & Pet Awareness Days — reporting for cuddle duty. I’ve sniffed out the best ways to celebrate our furry (and feathered and scaly) family members, and I’m here to make sure everyone feels loved, safe, and pampered on their special days.

Why pet holidays matter (from a dog who knows a thing or two about love)
• They celebrate the bond between people and pets — and I give extra kisses for that.
• They remind humans about important health checks, training, and safety.
• They raise awareness for rescue, adoption, and helping pets in need (please adopt — we’re worth it!).

Valentine’s tips for celebrating any pet day:
• Give them a routine-safe treat — check with your vet (and no chocolate, please!).
• Enrich their day with puzzle toys, an extra-long walk, or a playdate.

Pancake Adventures — Continued

You won’t believe what happened during our trip! Pancake and Eric took to the water at Martha’s Vineyard for a practice run — and ended up rehearsing for the big screen. They just auditioned (yes, AUDITIONED!) for a role in the upcoming Jaws sequel coming in 2028. Pancake’s dramatic “help me, there’s a shark!” face and Eric’s heroic (and slightly panicked) reactions were absolute scene-stealers. Could this be the start of Pancake’s Hollywood career? Stay tuned — you might see our little pup in a movie trailer someday!

This all happened during our much-needed vacation to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard — highly recommended by Pancake!

🌈💔 In Loving Memory of Meowth 💔🌈

Today, I said goodbye to my sweet boy, Meowth, who was just 8 years old. We rescued him in Oklahoma City when he was only 8 months old, and while many may not have known about our precious cat amid our busy pet household of three dogs, Meowth always brought a special joy to our lives.

He was a true trooper, handling all the chaos during client visits with such grace. His calming presence was felt through the whirlwind of barking dogs, and I’ll always cherish those moments when he would come up and give us neck massages, reminding us to slow down and enjoy life.

Today, with the help of the compassionate team at East Coast Animal Hospital, I had to make the difficult choice to let him go peacefully. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff, especially Dr. Fleming and technician Gabriella, for their kindness and support during this heartbreaking moment.

Rest in peace, my sweet Meowth. You will forever hold a place in my heart. We will all love you forever—Steve, Eric, Jax, Valentine & Pancake.
