Carolyn's K9 Retreat We provide dog boarding and daycare 365 days a year. Cared for just as they would be at home! We have 3 acres with 5 different fenced in play areas.

We also have a 2 car garage we have turned into a doggy playpen and we welcome the dogs into our home freely. We provide care for all size and age of dogs. We meet with all new dogs before their stays to ensure the safety and comfort of all of our pups. Our home and our lives have become dedicated to making sure your dog is comfortable, happy, and healthy while you are apart.

Just like people, dogs can become overstimulated when every moment is filled with activity. Learning how to settle and relax is an important life skill—and calm dogs are often happier dogs. ❤️

A tight leash can create a tense dog.

Keeping constant pressure on the leash often increases pulling, frustration, and reactivity. Practice loose-leash walking and reward your dog for checking in and staying calm beside you.

The walk should feel relaxed for both of you. ❤️🐶

The Retreat exists because Carolyn believed dogs deserved a safe place to learn, play, grow, and be understood. Her dedication laid the foundation for everything we do, and her influence continues to be felt in every wagging tail, every success story, and in every member of our pack.
