This summer, we welcomed student interns into our hospital—and truly enjoyed having them learn alongside our team.

They asked questions, jumped in to learn, and showed genuine compassion. Our patients didn’t mind the extra attention!

Introducing students to veterinary medicine is about building confidence, learning responsible pet care, recognizing when a pet needs help, and knowing what to do in an emergency.

We’re proud to help inspire the next generation of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, animal advocates, and compassionate, informed pet owners.

Positive culture doesn’t mean every day is easy. It means good communication, teamwork, supporting each other, and finding reasons to smile even on the tough ones.

Happy to report: we really do love each other—even on our hardest days. 😂❤️

POV: Stacy steals your puppy and suddenly everyone is lining up for puppy kisses. We love watching a family open their hearts to new begginings.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but welcoming a new little one doesn’t replace the love that came before—it carries it forward. We’re so happy Rudy found such a wonderful family, and even happier that we get to be part of his story, too. Congratulations

Meet Bella

Bella is a 6-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who came in for her wellness visit—but she and Dr. B go way back. A few years ago, Bella came to us with an emergency pyometra, and Dr. B performed the lifesaving surgery that gave this girl many more years of stealing hearts.

Today, Bella is doing great and apparently has many boyfriends. Her family says her theme song is Milkshake because her personality definitely brings all the boys to the yard.

And damn right… we love her.

The sweetest girl, the best patient, and a PAH favorite we just had to share.

When you first bring home a kitten, we get to see them ALL the time.
Every 2–3 weeks for boosters, deworming, physical exams, and eventually their spay or neuter.

Then comes their one-year visit… and for many healthy, indoor cats, we may not see them again for years.

Sometimes, the next visit isn’t until they’re 10+ and their family starts noticing changes at home — weight loss, drinking more, mobility changes, urinary issues, behavior changes, or just “they’re not quite themselves.”

That’s why yearly wellness exams matter, even when your cat seems perfectly healthy. Cats are incredibly good at hiding changes, and routine exams help us catch subtle problems earlier.

And as they enter their senior years, we may recommend seeing them every 3–6 months depending on their needs.

There is SO much we can do to keep senior cats comfortable and happy — from arthritis and kidney support to thyroid management, urinary care, nutrition changes, and more.
