Hello everyone! We will be closed this upcoming Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Please call ahead for any medication refills. We also wanted to remind everyone of the ER’s in the area in case of emergency: BluePearl, Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), and Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC). We will be back on Tuesday, May 26 for our regular operating hours (8am-8pm). Please call 224-261-8470 with any questions! 🐾

Guess who we had sssslither through our doors this week? 🐍 brought a new friend in for us to meet and we were all smiles! 😁 Isn’t he the coolest?! Bear was rescued from a pet store where he was living for about a year after being surrendered there by his original owners. He’s a Carpet Python measuring around 7 feet and if any snake people are reading this, he will need a forever home eventually… 👀☺️
Our other python friend, is a Ball Python! Sir Earl Grey has been featured on our social media before.. If you’ve been following us for a while, you might remember his baby pictures 🥰 We see Earl yearly for his check-ups and we’ve loved watching him grow! He is living his best life traveling in only the coziest of carriers and we always look forward to his spring annual! 🐍
We are so happy to have seen both of these guys recently! Snakes are our most rare exotic that we see, but our staff loves every oppurtunity we get to help our clients take care of their scaley friends. 💚

Some of you have already met the new face around Kohn, but please join us in welcoming Dr. Chai Wilensky to our practice! 😁 We are so excited to have her as the newest doctor on our team! Although she’s new to us, she graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2006 and has been practicing in the Chicagoland area (which is also where she’s from 😎) since 2010. She sees appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She has loved meeting you guys and your furry friends so far and looks forward to building more relationships as time goes on. Welcome wags, Dr. Wilensky! 🩺🐾

Happy St Patricks day from us and our adoptable friend Yuki! 💚 This sweet little guy is looking for a home and if all of ours weren’t at max capacity, we wouldn’t be making this post… 🫣 He’s currently being taken care of by our friends at Orphans Of The Storm (which they’re doing a great job of!) but he’s feeling really lucky about finding his forever home in the near future.. Shamrocks included!! ☘️💚 Even if you have a full house too, sharing this post brings more attention to this little shmoop (and all the other friends at ) and we want as many eyes on them as possible! We’re all rooting for you, Yuki! 🐾🫶
