Call Directions Website

We are a small shelter operated by the City of Hernando. We also protect the citizens of Hernando by enforcing animal related state laws and city ordinances.

Our goal is to improve and protect the lives of animals in our city by spaying/neutering, vaccinating, finding responsible homes for the strays who come into our care, and by enforcing animal protection laws. Our primary goal is to make Hernando the most animal friendly City in northern Mississippi.

🚒🐾 A HUGE THANK YOU TO LADDER 3 OF THE HERNANDO FIRE DEPARTMENT! ❤️🐱

This precious little kitten found itself in a scary situation after falling down inside a wall at the Days Inn in Hernando! 💔

After several attempts to rescue the baby, we called for help, and LADDER 3 of the Hernando Fire Department came to the rescue! 🚒❤️

These amazing firefighters didn’t hesitate to step in, cut a hole in the wall, and safely rescue this sweet baby kitten! 🐱💕

We cannot thank these heroes enough for taking the time to save such a tiny, precious life. No life is too small to matter! ❤️

👏🚒 Thank you, LADDER 3, for going above and beyond! You are true heroes!

Hello Hernando and beyond. With our influx of beautiful kittens and cats available we wanted to showcase two lovely barn cats we have available who are looking for a quiet shop or barn to lay low in. They’d do really well together as they like to play with each other in a place they can watch birds and scurry up mice. They are both around 1-2 years old and are up to date on shots and will be spayed at time of adoption. If you’d like to schedule a time to come and see them please feel free to reach out and help us get these lovely girls a furever home!
