Courtesy post but I know Mark personally and can vouch for what he does for the neighborhood strays.

I have been taking care of a stray cat on Walnut Alley, Mount Vernon. Last winter he lived under my house and he now hangs out on my back deck and in the backyard shed. He is somewhat skittish but will warm up to you. His name is ButterSauce. The problem is that ButterSauce needs some dental work bad. He has difficulty chewing and even becomes scared, I think, of his food I put out for him. On October 5 took him to Hillside Vet and he was given an injection of a steroid and antibiotic which seemed to help for a bit. He began eating with more gusto, as it were. However the issue is back, and he is struggling with chewing.
The vet at Hillside said that he really needs dental work bad. I have an estimate for between 900 and 1100 dollars. I am willing to pay for half of that amount but am asking for people to chip in a bit to cover the remainder of the cost. I am not asking for anyone to pay me, but to contact Hillside and give them the funds directly and say that it is for ButterSauce's dental work. So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
