READ THESE WORDS! Already 4 calls this morning about mama cats and kittens that they say "You have to take!"
How can the general public, still be so lacking in education & the reality of this situation? Every year. Over and over, same calls and same conversations, same faces at the door.
“I have a mom and kittens.
I found kittens.
I don’t want them euthanized!
But no, I can’t keep them.
No, I can’t spay her, she’s not my cat.
No she cannot remain, even if you help spay her.
It was an oops litter.
I’m overwhelmed.”
Do you know who is also overwhelmed?
Your county shelter. Your local rescues. Every single helper you know.
And the individuals who receive the results of your irresponsibility and inaction...are doing their very best.
Fixing them, prevents litters.
Surrendering them, prevents litters.
Doing nothing, creates more litters.
We returned to work on the “holiday” (that we work unpaid) to 16 voicemails. Multiple dog surrenders, always. The rest, however, all cats and kittens who need to be brought in.
Do you know anyone who wants…
A mother and 4 kittens.
A feral adult female with 3 kittens.
A mother and 8 kittens.
That’s just today.

We are spaying the female cat to which some of these kittens, were born.
