🚨 VENMO IS OUT TO GET ME. AND PAYPAL AND I ARE NO LONGER SPEAKING. 😂

Y’all, I promise I am trying to get you PAID! But apparently Venmo has decided my business account and I are no longer on speaking terms. 🙃

What does that mean for you? Payouts are taking a wee bit longer than usual while I shuffle funds around to get everyone paid through Venmo. Is it ideal? Absolutely not. Am I working on a solution? You bet your favorite saddle I am!

🏦 ENTER: ACH PAYMENTS!

I’m heading to the bank to get everything set up so we can start using the ACH payment feature through our SimpleConsign portal. Once it’s ready, you’ll be able to set yourself up for direct deposits. This should make payouts WAY faster, WAY easier, and WAY less dependent on Venmo’s mood swings. 🎉

💸 NOW, LET’S TALK PAYOUTS!

Because I know everyone likes knowing when their money is coming, here’s how the process works:

📌 Step 1: Once your item sells, there is a 7-day waiting period before the funds are released through the SimpleConsign portal.

📌 Step 2: Once those funds are released, I review and process payouts EVERY FRIDAY. Yes, every Friday!

📌 Step 3: Here’s when you get paid:

💰 Venmo or ACH: Balances over $50 are paid out.

✉️ Paper check: Balances over $200 are paid out.

🪙 Balances under $50: Hang tight until your balance reaches $50 OR 30 days have passed, whichever comes first.

🪙Balances under $200 (Paper Check folks ONLY): No payments are issued until your balance goes over $200. I can send ACH or Venmo pay outs if you need your money faster.

🚫 IMPORTANT: PAYPAL IS OFFICIALLY OUT.

I am NO LONGER ACCEPTING PAYPAL PAYMENTS OR USING PAYPAL FOR CONSIGNOR PAYOUTS.

Why? Because PayPal apparently doesn't respect my very clearly written return policy—which is included on EVERY invoice I send out. So, we're breaking up. It's not me; it's them. 🤷‍♀️

Please make sure you're prepared to use another payment method going forward!

I know money matters, and I take paying my consignors seriously. I want you paid just as much as you want to be paid! I'm working to get this system streamlined so we can spend less time fighting payment platforms and more time doing what we actually enjoy: getting good equestrian gear into the hands of the people who need it.

☕️ SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE UPDATE ☕️

Y’all. 😂 What. A. DAY.

18 hours. EIGHTEEN. HOURS. That’s how long this girl was gone yesterday. Left the house at 4 AM, rolled into Aubrey Meadows around 8 AM, had the Red Pony Consignment booth set up by 9 AM, and then we were off to the races! 🐴

We saw some familiar faces, met a whole bunch of new ones, and introduced plenty of people to the wonderful world of equestrian consignment. I brought a smaller, carefully selected inventory for my first trip out to Aubrey Meadows, and for a smaller show, I’d say we did pretty darn well! ❤️

Have I run the sales report to see who our top consignor was? Nope. 🙃 I got home at 10 PM, unloaded myself into the house, and went straight to bed. Those numbers can wait until after coffee. ☕️

Will Red Pony Consignment be back? Maybe! 😉

It’ll depend on turnout, the size of the show, and whether it makes sense for the pony-powered operation. The people at Aubrey Meadows are delightful and really do support the small businesses who set up at their shows. We had lots of new faces stopping by to ask how consignment works, plenty of browsing, some good sales, and an absolutely gorgeous day. You know I love introducing people to the idea that their unused tack could be someone else’s new favorite thing!

The biggest challenge? The vendor area isn’t covered, which means a multi-day show would require packing up ALL the inventory at the end of every day. And y’all… I love this little business, but I also enjoy keeping my sanity. 😂 (another reason I really need to look into a mobile trailer in 2027)

On the bright side, Jackie thoroughly enjoyed her field trip! 🫏💁‍♀️ Every donkey needs a little adventure now and then, and she was happy to supervise another Red Pony road trip. Plus.... we saw her people!!!! Or donkeys....

I even managed to make a pit stop on the way home to visit my best friend and her husband in DFW, which was the perfect little bonus to cap off an already long day. ❤️

Now, if you need me, I’ll be over here drinking coffee, recovering from my 18-hour equestrian adventure, and unpacking.

Is it the prettiest saddle in the barn? Nope.
Is it winning any beauty contests? Also nope.
Is it solid, functional, and priced to sell? ABSOLUTELY.

The **Alamo Dressage Association’s Annual Tack Swap** is coming up on **November 14th at Retama Equestrian Center**, and Red Pony Consignment is proud to be a sponsor! 🎉

It's only 1 day and I am not bringing a trailer so we are talking limited inventory (which im not very good at wrapping my head around). Im starting to pack for this Saturday's visit at Aubrey Meadows Equestrian Center for the UDJC Interest Group Texas show. Since this will be my first visit to Aubrey Meadows I am bringing a limited inventory.

🐴 REGION 9 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP 🐴

Well… that was a busy 4 days at Great Southwest Equestrian Center!! 😂

Thursday and Friday we took in OVER 100 new items from several existing consigners and some brand new consigners too. And a whole lot of those items were dropped off Thursday or Friday and SOLD at the show. 👀

The Saddle Valet program was also VERY popular! Over the 3 days it was offered, we had 15 saddles dropped off for valet. We even had some unique valet items come through, including high-end bridles and boots that were consigned for just the day.

And the final numbers…

✨ 76 ITEMS SOLD AT THE SHOW ✨

That included one saddle going to a new forever home, along with lots of other equestrian goodies finding new people who apparently needed them more than we did. 😂

We also met TONS of new clients, both buyers and consigners, and loved getting to see so many familiar faces too. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped, consigned, said hello, or just came to see what we had crammed into the booth this time. ❤️

LG took the top spot for highest earnings, with DD right on the heels with a very close second!
