🔍 Decoding guaranteed analysis on pet food labels: Those percentages for protein, fat, fiber, and moisture tell you the MINIMUM or MAXIMUM amounts- not the exact content.

Here's what most people miss: you can't accurately compare dry food to wet food using these numbers because of moisture differences!

To truly compare, you need to calculate "dry matter basis." A 24% protein dry food and a 10% protein wet food might actually have similar protein content when you account for moisture.

Understanding this helps you make apples-to-apples comparisons!
