As we close out the first week of camp, I have to say that this has been such a fun, sweet group! When you have an odd number, it's really easy for someone to get left out but these girls have gotten along SO well all week long. They have paired off in various ways with ease and have ultimately been the best little group of friends.

The horses feel pampered. Bonds are created. Imagination/creativity is explored. Smiles are inevitable!

These two have been doing some great work together in the arena! Chi is responding soooo well to the cues and isn't making us wear ourselves out to get him to comply with requests, even when they're new to him! I'm VERY proud of L's confidence with Chi and the bond that they've formed which makes Chi so willing to follow his lead with whatever he's asking Chi to do. It is beautiful to watch. ❤️

Happy Mother's Day to each and every mom who has had the privilege of fulfilling one of life's hardest and most rewarding roles. Motherhood comes in many forms and takes on many directions but each one has a purpose that is greater than us and each one plays a special part in the lives of someone else. We had a great group of kids from River Oaks come yesterday for a field trip to celebrate them getting 100 or more AR points this year! They had a great time rotating through the stations filled with horse encounters, learning activities and fun games.

Then we quickly cleaned up and rounded out the week by attending the awards banquet for the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home to support a few of our participants. It was a wonderful evening catching up with people we haven't seen in a while and meeting some new faces too!

Teamwork during "off" days at the ranch. Today that looks like repairing pasture gates and Josh working on the last of the ice storm cleanup while I "supervise" from the wash bay doing activity logs. (I had to relocate since sprinkles and electronics don't mix. 🫤)
