The purpose of our page is to help reunite pets with their owners and to educate the public about our role in the community, our policies, and general pet ownership. We recognize the fact that animals evoke deep emotions in many people, as they do us, but must ask that our posters refrain from judging others/posting negative comments when both sides of the situation are not known. In many

cases, we will not comment on the situations regarding particular animals. We are bound by confidentiality, laws, and our own ethics, in which we do not judge (as we often don’t have all the facts, especially with lost pets) and cannot dictate how an owner cares for their animals. If you have a particular concern or question that requires immediate attention, we ask that you contact the shelter directly at (608) 325-9600 or visit our website at www.greencountyhumane.org. Our Facebook site is monitored by volunteers and, oftentimes, we cannot respond immediately.

Meet Honey, a senior dog who's mom unfortunately had to go into a nursing home. The woman's neighbor is going to be officially adopting her in mid-August, but is currently in Texas for the remainder of the summer. Can you open your home to this good pup for a few months?

Hello Summer! ☀️⛵🎣

Through the entire month of June, you can adopt one of our animals for 50% off!

We have an influx of cats and dogs, and there's nothing we want more than to see them in a loving home. We're hoping these discounted adoption rates will encourage people to stop out and meet these animals deserving of a family!

Nett's Sports Bar and the Green County Humane Society are getting together for the Cruise for Critters! 🚘

Join us for a scenic ride on the trails of Midwest Wisconsin all to benefit the animals at the Green County Humane Society!

100% of all proceeds are going to be coming back to our dogs and cats, so for the love of animals, get in your vehicle of choice and let’s go for a ride! 🐾
⏰ Registration begins at 10:00 AM
🏎️ Take off at 10:45 AM
💵 $25 per rider + you get a t-shirt!

Lunch was graciously donated by Rut-Roh's Fayette Saloon for our riders, so make sure to express your gratitude when you make it to that stop!

The ride will begin and end at Nett’s Sports Bar in Monroe, and there will be 50/50 raffles at every stop! This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Introducing Scooter, the cat with only 8 lives left!

Sunday evening the Green County WI Sheriff's Office reached out, alerting us to a cat that was hit by a car and needed emergency intervention. We were able to meet them at the shelter, where we promptly drove him to VCA Veterinary Emergency Service for care.

Miraculously he is doing well, recovering from some bumps & cuts, but his outcome is very positive. He may have someone out there looking for him, so if he is familiar to you, please reach out to us! Originally found near W6900 STH 39, just west of New Glarus.

Eloise and Noodle are here to start your Monday off right! 🌞🥰

🐶 Eloise transferred to GCHS from a shelter in Alabama due to overcrowding. She's the perfect size to go on adventures or snuggle up on the couch! She loves to play outside and does well with kids.

🐶 Noodle is a 1 year old male who loves to spend time outdoors and playing with his friends! He's got a charming smile that is sure to make you fall in love with him!
