Pixie Highlight Reel!🎥🐾

Meet this big girl with an even bigger heart🤍

This 4-year-old Mastiff has had a rough life so far, and we’re hoping PAWS will be just a short stop before she gets to live life to the fullest with her forever family.

Pixie takes time to warm up to new people and will need multiple meetings with everyone in her future home to build trust. She needs a patient family willing to take things at her pace, but getting to know the loving girl behind that uncertainty is so worth it! 🥹

She’s selective with other dogs, good with cats, and likely good with kids. 🐾

Pixie also has an upcoming surgery to correct her cherry eye, and we’d love for her to recover in the comfort of a home. Having a family by her side would make this next chapter even sweeter! 🤍

Ready to give this sweet girl the time and love she deserves? Call (513)539-7297 to schedule an appointment to meet Pixie!

Today is National Feral Cat Day! 🐈🤍

Every cat deserves love and care, even if that care looks a little different! Some outdoor cats are friendly strays who may thrive in a home, while feral cats haven’t been socialized with people and may find indoor life frightening. For many of these cats, the best support means helping them stay safe and cared for in their familiar outdoor home.

Here are a few ways you can help! 🐾

✂️ Spay and neuter!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) involves humanely trapping community cats, having them spayed or neutered and vaccinated, and returning them to their outdoor home. This prevents more kittens from being born outside! Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic and UCAN Nonprofit Spay/Neuter Clinic are wonderful local resources for help with community cats.

🥣 Provide food and fresh water!
A consistent meal and clean water make a difference. If you need help with food, PAWS has a community pet food pantry! You can visit once a month during our open hours, while supplies last. Please bring your license.

🏠 Give them shelter!
With colder weather coming, a dry, insulated outdoor cat shelter gives them protection from the elements. Use STRAW, not hay, blankets, or towels! Straw helps keep them warm and dry, while the other materials can hold moisture and make them colder.

They may never want to curl up in your lap, but they still deserve kindness, protection, and someone looking out for them. Thank you to everyone caring for the community cats in their neighborhood! 🤍

While the finishing touches on our kennel construction are underway, we’re waiting until everything is complete before bringing in more dogs. Miss Thea is taking full advantage of being one of the few dogs in our facility right now and soaking up all the extra love! Just look at that smile! 🥰🐾

Keep an eye out for new friends coming to PAWS very soon!! 🤍
