At Monroe Family Pet Hospital, our priority has always been to provide exceptional medical care to your furry companions and a great experience for you. To ensure our team can dedicate more time and focus on the patients in our clinic, we are updating our policy regarding third-party online prescription requests.
Effective August 15, 2026, we will no longer digitally review or approve prescription requests sent to us directly from outside or online pharmacies. While we understand the convenience of online shopping, managing the high volume of daily digital requests from external pharmacies requires significant administrative time, drawing our staff away from direct patient care.
Moving Forward: How to fill your Pet’s Prescription
To ensure our patients receive their medication without interruption, you have two convenient options:
1. Physical written Prescriptions- If you choose to use an outside pharmacy, simply contact us directly to request a written prescription. Our team will prepare the physical script, and we will call/text you as soon as it is ready for pick up. You can then email or mail this document directly to the third-party pharmacy of your choice.
2. Utilize our Safe, Trusted online pharmacy. For a fully digital experience, we encourage you to use our own online pharmacy. Our team can approve these requests quickly without much administrative delay. Medications are shipped directly to your door, and you can rest assured they are sourced safely, directly from the manufacturers, and are backed by full veterinary guarantees. In addition to being more convenient, using our online pharmacy supports the clinic and staff that supports your pet instead of the corporations.
We are here to support our clients during this transition. So please call us with any questions or concerns.

Part-Time Associate Veterinarian Wanted | Monroe, Ohio | Privately Owned Practice | Consistent Weekly Schedule | No Weekends

Monroe Family Pet Hospital, a privately owned small animal practice in Monroe, Ohio, and is looking for a steady part-time associate veterinarian.

This is not a relief position. I’m looking for a doctor who wants a predictable weekly schedule, a consistent team, familiar clients, and a real role in the culture of the hospital.

No surgery is required. No weekend hours.

The ideal fit would be a veterinarian who still enjoys the profession, treats support staff with genuine respect, communicates well with clients, and wants to practice thoughtful, high-quality general medicine in a positive work environment.

Our medical philosophy is straightforward:

Recommend what is best for the pet first. Explain the options clearly. Let the owner decide what is affordable.

We believe pets deserve strong medical advocacy, and clients deserve honest recommendations without pressure, guilt, or judgment.

We are looking for someone who values:

● A consistent weekly schedule
● No weekend hours
● A positive workplace culture
● Respect for technicians, assistants, receptionists, kennel staff, and doctors
● Clear client communication
● Appropriate diagnostics and treatment recommendations
● Practicing good medicine without corporate pressure
● A constructive, optimistic outlook on veterinary medicine and life in general
This may be a good fit for a veterinarian who wants part-time hours but still wants to feel like part of a real team, not just someone filling shifts.

Please message us if you are interested in talking with us!
