She loves attention and loves to lay on your lap. She is the perfect lap dog and only weighs 20lbs. She has a laid back personality and is very quiet. She does get along with other dogs. 🐾❤️ HI, MY NAME IS LEIA… AND I NEED A MIRACLE BEFORE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28TH. ❤️🐾

Hi everyone! My name is Leia, and I’m a 3-year-old girl who has a little story to tell you. I’m hoping you’ll take a minute to read it. 🥹❤️

You see, I’ve been with my family since I was just 3 months old. That’s practically my whole life! I’ve grown up with them, loved them, and been a wonderful member of their family.

But sometimes life throws people a curveball. 💔

My family has to move, and unfortunately, their new home doesn’t allow me to come along. They thought they had found someone to take me, but that fell through too.

Now we’re running out of time, and my family is heartbroken.

They love me very much and are doing everything they can to make sure I end up in a wonderful home.

So, let me tell you a little about myself! 🐶

❤️ I’m 3 years old, spayed, and up to date on my vaccinations.

❤️ I’m completely potty trained!

❤️ I walk beautifully on a leash.

❤️ I LOVE car rides! Where are we going? I don’t care, as long as I’m invited!

❤️ I get along with other dogs.

❤️ I absolutely LOVE kids and get so excited when I see them!

❤️ Cats? Well, I’m curious about those little creatures!

❤️ I have a BIG personality, but I’m also pretty easygoing.

Want to spend the evening watching TV? Move over, because I’m joining you on the couch! 📺

Want to go outside and play? I’m your girl! 🐾

Want to play fetch? Well… let’s not get carried away. 😂 That’s one game I’ve never really understood!

I do have some allergies, so I eat a special food and take medication, both of which can be ordered through Chewy. My family will gladly explain everything to anyone interested in adopting me.

AND HERE’S SOMETHING IMPORTANT! ❤️

My family needs to move by Wednesday, October 28th, and we’re desperately hoping I can find my forever home before then.

🐾 My adoption fee is completely waived through October 28th!

🐾 My family will provide my food and medication for at least the first 30 days!

🐾 I’m already spayed and vaccinated!

🐾 I have an established medical history with a local veterinarian!

All I need is someone willing to open their heart and home to me.

Here’s my biggest wish… 🥹

I don’t want to have to go to a shelter. I’ve only ever known what it’s like to live in a home, be part of a family, and have a couch to curl up on.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if I could go straight from one loving home to another without ever having to spend a night in a kennel?

My family would be so relieved knowing I’m safe, loved, and happy.

I’m not a puppy anymore, but I’m still young, playful, loving, and have so much life ahead of me.

Unfortunately Foxy came to us because her family had to move into an apartment and Unfortunately could not take her with! Foxy just loves getting back scratches and laying her head on your lap. She is a very laid back and quiet girl with a very sweet and laid back personality. Foxy is a 8yr old female Chihuahua! She is also housetrained. 💔 NOT ONE APPLICATION. NOT ONE PERSON ASKING TO MEET VIOLET. 💔

Sweet Violet has been waiting for months. Day after day, she watches and waits, hoping someone will finally choose her. 🥺🐾

We rescued Violet from a kill shelter because we believed she deserved a second chance at life. And while she’s safe with us at River Valley Animal Rescue, we didn’t save her just to spend that second chance growing up in another shelter. We saved her so she could have a HOME. ❤️

Violet is only about one year old. She’s a sweet girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but give her a little time and a few treats, and you’ll see what a loving girl she really is. 🐶❤️

What breaks our hearts is that not one person has even applied to meet her. Not one.

We’re not asking everyone to adopt Violet. We’re simply asking someone to SEE her. Come visit her. Spend a little time with her. Show this sweet girl that she matters and that someone out there cares enough to give her a chance.

She survived a shelter where her life was at risk. Now she deserves more than just surviving. She deserves to LIVE, to be LOVED, and to belong to someone. ❤️

🍁🐾 Hi, everyone! My name is Vivian, and I have a story to tell. ❤️

A few months ago, my life almost ended before I ever got the chance to know what a loving home feels like. 💔

I was sitting in a kill shelter and they said I was going to be put to sleep. I didn’t understand what that meant. All I knew was that I was scared, and my future didn’t look very bright.

But then something wonderful happened. Someone came for ME! ❤️

And that’s how I ended up at River Valley Animal Rescue!

When I first arrived, I was very quiet and shy. I wasn’t quite sure if I could trust people. But little by little, I’m learning that humans can actually be pretty wonderful!

🐾 I LOVE other dogs! Boys, girls, doesn’t matter to me! I enjoy playing and having doggy friends.

🐾 Guess what I learned recently? How to walk on a leash! And you know what makes it even better? TREATS! Apparently, when I walk nicely, I get rewarded. Let me tell you, I’m catching on pretty quickly! 😂🦴

🐾 I’m learning to trust. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but please don’t let that discourage you. Give me a little patience, a gentle voice, and some time to feel safe.

Because underneath this shy exterior is a girl who has SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE! And once I trust you, you can expect plenty of sweet kisses! 💋❤️

I survived something that many dogs never get the chance to escape. Now I’m just waiting for the best part of my story to begin.

🐾💙 Meet Bud — His Playful Side Is Finally Coming Out! 💙🐾

Bud is a handsome 1-year-old boy who is one of the 10 cats who recently came into our care after losing the home they knew. ❤️

It’s taken him a little time to settle in and get comfortable with his new routine, but we’re happy to share that Bud is finally starting to show his playful side! 🥹🐾 Watching him come out of his shell and discover that he can relax, have fun, and just be a cat is exactly what we love seeing.

And when he’s not busy finding his playful side, you might catch him enjoying one of his favorite pastimes — watching Cat TV! 📺🐦 Those birds and squirrels sure know how to keep a guy entertained!

Now, Bud is hoping his next chapter includes a family of his very own. A cozy home, someone to love, and a lifetime of feeling safe and wanted. That’s what this handsome boy deserves. 🏡💕

Gunner watched his sister find her furever home and he is wondering where his furever family is. Gunner is a very sweet boy. Gunner does get along with other dogs and cats but he doesn't like to share his person. He is very treat motivated however he is not housetrained. We are sure he would love to go for walks.
