ℹ️ Did you know...? ℹ️

Dogs are not very good at Generalizing. What does this mean?

Have you ever asked your dog to 'Sit' somewhere other than your house and they act like a.) They can't hear you or b.) You are speaking a new, undiscovered language 🥴

A dog must be taught that 'Sit' means the same thing at home as it does away from home like at the Park, a Pet Store, the Lake, etc. 🏞

It's important to advance your training from a quiet environment to new places to ensure your dog understands the behavior rather than just the surroundings. 📚🐕‍🦺
