If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home?
Not necessarily, but he does love to play with our dogs. He is also content just spending time with his people.

Cat Friendly: Unknown.

Kid Friendly: Yes. He has been around our grandchildren ages 15 months to 8 years.

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with?
Dash likes to jump so would be mindful of very young children. He does well with our 3 year old grandson.

Puppy Name: Fum

Breed: mixed (small)

S*x: male

Age: 9 weeks (DOB 8/21/2026)

Weight: 2.2 pounds

Medical Needs:

Will need to continue with age-appropriate vaccinations, including the rabies vaccine when old enough.

Must be spayed/neutered by 2/21/2027, period.

IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ABIDE BY THIS STATE REGULATION, DO NOT APPLY. WE ARE NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU ABOUT IT LATER.

The adoption fee includes the appointment at one of the clinics we use in the state of Delaware. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, or Georgetown.) The foster-to-adopt family will contact Grass Roots Rescue when he is about 5 months old to schedule this appointment.

Keeping the appointment that is assigned by the clinic is a condition of adoption. Foster-to-adopters must live within 1 hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

Important Information About Puppies:

✨ Puppies need to be let out for potty breaks approximately every 4 hours. If there isn't someone home during the day, then you will need a plan to make sure they get a mid-day break.

✨ Puppies are blank slates and require training, including housebreaking. Adopters need to be prepared to provide this training along with appropriate socialization to help give them the best chance at becoming well-behaved and happy grown dogs.

✨ Puppies should always be supervised when interacting with children and other animals. Puppies are fragile and a mishap could be fatal for them. They are also teething and getting to know their world, and boundaries, with their mouth. They have to be taught what appropriate chew toys are.

Foster’s Location: Dover, DE

And talk about perfect timing… we’re taking in 20 NEW DOGS TODAY! 😳🐕🐕🐕 Twenty more precious pups who need a safe place, full bellies, and a chance at a better tomorrow. Your generosity couldn’t come at a more important time, and we’re beyond thankful for every bit of support as we get ready to welcome them.

And of course, a special shout out to the “Rehoboth Gayborhood”! 🏳️‍🌈❤️ Thank you for showing up, spreading love, and making a difference for animals who need us. And YES… we’re still giggling about the name! 😂💕 You all are fabulous, and we appreciate you more than you know!
