😺👁️ Ever seen a cat with two different colored eyes? That’s heterochromia—and it’s completely mesmerizing! 💙💛

Heterochromia in cats is a natural variation in eye color where each eye (or part of an eye) has a different pigment. You might see one blue eye and one green, gold, or amber eye—and it’s especially common in white or mostly white cats.

✨ The important part? In most cases, heterochromia is totally harmless.
It’s usually just a genetic trait that affects pigmentation—not vision or health.

However, in some kittens (especially those with white coats and blue eyes), it’s still important to have a veterinary check to ensure hearing and eye development are normal, since certain pigment genes can sometimes be associated with deafness.
