🐾 Meet Lyra! She’s Looking for a Temporary Foster Home! 🐾

Sweet Lyra is a beautiful 2-year-old girl looking for a loving foster home while her family gets settled after relocating to the area. ❤️

Lyra has been with her person since she was a tiny kitten, so this is a big transition for her. She is affectionate, playful, and full of personality—although she’ll definitely let you know when she needs a little “me time!” 😹

💕 A little about Lyra:
🐱 2 years old
💕 Very affectionate and loves cuddles & pets
😻 LOVES getting scratched under her chin
🎾 Loves to play fetch!
🍗 Very food motivated
🙈 Shy when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly when given time
👑 Prefers to be the only cat in the home, but could potentially adapt to living with one other cat with proper, slow introductions

🩺 Lyra is also up to date on her vaccines and flea prevention! She has tested negative for FeLV, FIV, and heartworm, so she’s ready to settle into a safe and loving foster home. ❤️

🏠 Why does Lyra need a foster?

Her family recently relocated to the area and is currently looking for a permanent place to live. They are hoping to find a temporary foster through around November while they work toward getting settled. It may be sooner, but November is the current estimated timeframe.

Lyra just needs someone willing to give her a little patience while she adjusts—and in return, you’ll get a sweet girl who loves cuddles, chin scratches, playtime, and, of course, snacks! 🥰🐾

🐱🔎 WHEN SOMETHING DOESN’T LOOK QUITE RIGHT, GET IT CHECKED! 🩺

Cats are experts at hiding things. That’s why regular exams are so important — especially when you notice a new lump, bump, or swelling on your cat.

This kitty came to us with a tumor on her leg that needed to be removed. Dr Allen carefully removed the mass, helping her get back to feeling comfortable and happy. 🐾❤️

Whenever a mass is removed, pathology testing is recommended to help determine exactly what type of tumor it is and whether any additional treatment or monitoring may be needed.

While not every lump is cancerous, you simply can’t tell what a mass is just by looking at it. That’s why bringing your cat in when you notice something new is so important!

👀 Keep an eye out for:
• New lumps or bumps
• Changes in the size or appearance of a mass
• Sores that don’t heal
• Swelling or unusual areas of hair loss
• Changes in your cat’s behavior or activity

And remember — if you find something new, don’t wait and see if it goes away on its own. Give us a call and let’s get your kitty checked! 🐱🩺
