Meet our two new special needs kitties.
These 8 week old kittens have cerebellar hypoplasia, a lifelong condition in kittens that affects balance and coordination, often called "wobbly cat syndrome".
The cerebellum is the part of the brain responsible for balance, coordination, and fine motor skills. This failed to develop completely in the womb, usually because a pregnant mother cat is infected with the feline panleukopenia virus.
Kittens are born with the condition but do not carry the virus and cannot pass it to other animals. The condition does not get worse as the kitten grows. Many cats learn to adapt and live normal, full lives, however they do need to live as indoor cats.
Johnny is sweet and smooth while his brother Jack is a bit more firey.
