Here is our other lesson horse

This is Meg. She is a 13 year old paint mare. She didn’t know much when we got her. But now she is also one of the favorites. Meg took some time last year/early this year but she is back and better than ever. This girl loves to please. You do not have to tell her to go; you just ask. This can make her feel like she has a bit of a motor. But really a trot is her fastest speed. We also acquired from a local rescue as well. (You will see this quite often around here.)

Let’s do a post about one of our lesson horses.

This is Meatball. He is a 13 year old Thoroughbred gelding. He is a go with the flow kinda guy and doesn’t get in a hurry for much of anything. This horse loves babies and all the kiddos. And we will always be up for a treat. He LOVES apples 🍎
Meatball came via a local rescue in the East Tennessee area.

Bucky got to go out on the big boy lunge line today. It’s about 30’ long. And he did not disappoint. Other than being his usual lazyself not wanting to work.

*for everyone that’s new and isn’t from our previous page; Bucky had a couple of rides prior to coming to Kayla for training. Kayla has been working with Bucky to help become the upmost equine citizen and partner one could want for his owner. Kayla has been fine tuning some things with him as his owner really wants to show with him.

Meet your instructor and see some of the services we have to offer……

Kayla Adams is our riding instructor and has been instructing for 17 years. Lessons will focus on safety while having fun and still meeting our goals. She achieved her certification as a riding instructor in 2022 with CHA (Certified Horseman Association) in English and Western disciplines. Kayla took a course adaptive/inclusive lessons in 2024 specializing in autistic/adhd. She has been training horses for 20 years and specializing in problematic, starting horses, finishing and of course feral/untouched horses.

We have several different programs for our riders.

🟣Tiny Tots-this is best for 3-5 years old. These lessons are 30 minutes in duration for $40.

🔵Group Lessons-6 years old-99+. These lessons are 1 hour in duration for $50.

🟢Private Lessons-Any age. These are one on one. 1 hour in duration. $75.

🔴My Grown Up and Me-This is designed for kiddos 3 years old and up with their adult to ride together. $100 for the hour.

🟠Training- As of right now all training will be done at your farm and at your pace. Kayla encourages the owners to be there while she is training your horse so you can see progress and learn in the process. $75/hr minimum fee. This price can increase due to mileage.

Story time 📚

Let’s go back in time.

30 years ago. At The Deer Farm in Sevierville.

This is where the love of horses began. Something as simple as my dad leading me around on a pony.

No one in this moment would have known the love this little girl would have for horses and riding. Then later growing and nurturing a love for horsemanship and training. Not to mention running her business full time; not just training horses but being an instructor. Becoming that person she once looked up to and dreamed of being.

A huge thank you goes to my parents for getting me on that pony that day. 💕

Here is to 30 years of equine love with another 30 years to come.
