🐾 RUH-ROH! OUR WEBSITE IS DOWN! 🐾

Looks like our German Shepherds aren’t the only ones causing a little chaos! 🐕💻

The AGSDR website is currently experiencing technical difficulties, and unfortunately, this isn’t a quick fix.

Our webmaster is working to get things back up and running as soon as possible, but it may take a little time.

❤️ Please bear with us! In the meantime, we’re still here, still rescuing German Shepherds, and in the meantime, checking our social media messages!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of AGSDR. We’ll let you know when our website is back online!

MILO PUPDATE🐾

Remember Milo? This sweet boy came to us from BARC Animal Shelter, where he was on “the list.” 💔

When Milo arrived, he was in bad condition. He was skin and bones, battling a severe skin infection and mange, and had tested positive for heartworms. But Milo was given a second chance, and just LOOK at him now! 🥹❤️

✨ He’s gaining weight and getting stronger!
✨ His skin has healed, and his beautiful fur is growing back!
✨ He’s officially started heartworm treatment!
✨ Most importantly, he’s getting the love and care he deserves!

Milo still has a road to recovery ahead of him, but the transformation we’ve already seen is incredible!

To everyone who donated toward Milo’s rehabilitation and medical care, THANK YOU! ❤️ Your generosity is helping turn his second chance into a beautiful new beginning.

This is what rescue is all about. This is why we do what we do. 🐾

📸🐾 The magic behind the lens? Meet Jettie Jennings

If you’re new around here (and with our posts now reaching more than 250,000 people each month, there’s a good chance you are 👀), allow us to introduce you to one of the most important humans behind AGSDR!

Every. Single. Shepherd. 🐾

Every pup who comes through our rescue gets their very own photoshoot with Jettie, and somehow, she manages to capture not just their beautiful faces, but their goofy personalities, soulful eyes, and everything that makes them special.

We truly believe so many of our happily-ever-afters have happened because of Jettie. Her photos help people fall in love with our shepherds before they ever meet them. And in rescue, that can make all the difference. ❤️

Jettie, we will never be able to thank you enough for saying YES to photographing our shepherds and using your incredible talent to help them find their forever families.

And if you’re looking for a pet photographer in Central Texas, consider this your introduction to the BEST in the business! 🐕📸

Go give Jettie Jennings some love. She’s certainly given our shepherds plenty! ❤️

Our girl Stevie has officially been available for adoption for over 2 months, and we genuinely don’t understand how this perfect little angel hasn’t been scooped up yet. 🥹🐾

At about 50 lbs., Stevie is a smaller German Shepherd with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. She’s never met a stranger—human or canine—and firmly believes everyone she meets is her new best friend.

🐾 Dog friendly
👧 Loves humans big AND small
🏡 House trained
🦴 Crate trained
👏 Knows “sit” + has great recall
🧠 Super smart, eager to please + food motivated
💨 Professional zoomie enthusiast
💋 Gives kisses like it’s her full-time job
❤️ Expert cuddler once playtime is over

Stevie can happily entertain herself with toys, but she’d LOVE a dog or human playmate to romp around with. When the fun is done, she’s just as happy following you around the house and curling up at your feet.

She’s goofy. She’s loving. She’s trained. She’s social. She’s basically been waiting for her person to realize she’s their dog.

So…where are you?! 👀 Apply to adopt Stevie today. And if you can’t adopt, SHARE. Her forever family might be following you. 🐕❤️

Still waiting. Still watching. Still hoping. 🥺🐾

For over a year, Jerry has been waiting for someone to look at him and say, “You’re coming home with me.”

More than 365 days of watching the world go by. More than 365 days of being an exceptionally good boy. And somehow, his forever family still hasn’t found him.

Jerry isn’t asking for much. He wants a window to watch from, a soft place to land, some good snacks, and a human to call his own. ❤️

And whoever finally chooses him is going to wonder how they ever got so lucky.

Jerry is:
🏡 House trained
🐾 Good with dogs
❤️ Good with people
🛋️ Trusted free-range in the home
🥰 Professional snuggler
⭐ Certified 100% Good Boy

He’s waited long enough. Let’s make this the post that finds Jerry his forever home.

Please SHARE Jerry. His person might be following you.

🐾 Cooper Pupdate 🐾

Oh my, what a GEM this boy is! Cooper is an AMAZING houseguest and settling beautifully into his new routine. He’s calm in the home, knows some basic commands, gets along great with the resident shepherds, and can even be trusted free range when his foster leaves.

Overall: 100/10 good boy. 🥹🐾

But this pupdate is about more than Cooper. It’s about every single person who helped save his life.

Cooper was on “the list,” and we can only save dogs like him when our village steps up.

🚗 The volunteers who transport dogs from shelters to the vet, fosters, and forever homes.
🏡 The fosters who open their homes and give them a safe place to land.
💙 The donors who make their medical care and rehabilitation possible. Cooper will undergo costly heartworm treatment before he’s ready for his next chapter.
📱 And every person who likes, comments, and shares our posts so these dogs reach the widest network possible.

Together, we saved Cooper’s life. And he was SO worth it. 🖤

Just like so many German Shepherds sitting on shelter lists across Texas today.

Thank you for continuing to show up. Thank you for staying committed. And thank you for helping us keep saying YES to German Shepherds in need.

Tail wags,
AGSDR 🐾
