Field Trip Friday!

Zara the gorgeous GSD took a big adventure into downtown Austin today! She’s preparing for an exciting move to downtown Denver with her owner at the end of the month, so we wanted to help her get comfortable with all the sights, sounds, and energy of city life.

From noisy traffic and crowded sidewalks to scooters whizzing by and city smells galore — Zara handled it all like a total pro. She showed great focus, confidence, and composure even in the middle of a busy midday downtown scene.

So proud of this girl and all her progress! Denver, get ready — Zara’s coming for you!

At just 1.5 years old, she’s already so good on leash and eager to please. This smart cookie is working on staying calm and confident around other dogs — because sometimes our brains just move faster than our bodies 😉

Want a calmer walk? Start before the leash goes on.
Excitement leads to chaos — calm starts at the door.
Have your dog sit calmly while you put the leash on, and practice being calm at doorways. Once you’ve mastered this, the walk will get a bit easier!
