Hello and good afternoon everybody it’s Bella Smiley here and boy do I have some pretty amazing news to share with you all! Can you tell by the picture what happened yesterday? Yep I was adopted !! I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am in my heart right now!! Let me tell you how this all came to be!! Well a few weeks ago..this couple came to Barky Pines to see our doctor and they were waiting in the lobby where I was and that’s when I knew in my heart that they wanted to adopt me when the doctor said I was ready!! Aunt Kate spoke to them and she knew they would be the perfect family for me!! She asked if they would fill out the adoption application on the website and they did it as soon as they got home! They also sent an email about how much they would love for me to be their forever baby!! Well this past Tuesday I went for my final check up with my friends at Peak veterinary surgery and my doctor doctor Baum came out and told aunt Mary I did amazing and that it’s ok for me to go to my forever home ! Aunt Mary called my new parents as soon as we left the doctors office and they were overjoyed to hear the wonderful news! I had a family! They drove out yesterday afternoon and I got to meet one of my new brothers and guess what? We got along great and that moment I heard the words I longed to hear!! They were ready to make it official ! Papers were signed and pictures were taken I said my goodbyes to my friends aunt Kate and aunt Mary !! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love my Barky family..when I was found as a stray with what the county thought was just one broken leg..turned out to be a fracture of both my legs and my pelvis as well.. hey called to different surgical centers and that’s when they found Dr Baum in delray..he met me on a Thursday and by Tuesday of the following week I had my first surgery!! No one there could believe what a happy little girl I am despite all of my broken bones..they took excellent care of me and when I was picked up that afternoon I was sooo happy to see aunt Mary and we drove back to Barky Pines! I met so many amazing people in a few short months everyone who met me laughed when I would show my teeth! I made soooo many people laugh!! Uncle Steve and aunt Liz loved to spend time with me while I was recovering! Three weeks later I had my other leg done and needed to rest a little longer!! Well now that I’ve healed enough I am so ready to start my new adventures..I still have a few weeks of limited exercise but I’m on the mend!! I want to thank all of you for your love and support for me during my stay at Barky Pines..my heart is so full of love for you all!! Well I better get going it’s almost lunch time !! Your friend Bella aka Smiley ❤️🙏🐾🙏❤️

Earlier this year, we were honored to be selected by Non Profits First and their Rising Leaders program to be the recipient of an amazing project. We had an outstanding team who worked hard during the last eight months to put together a marketing succession program for us.

We couldn’t be more grateful to each and every one of you that participated.

Today, the class graduated and presented the outcomes of their projects.

He was given to his parents friends and after a few weeks they were no longer able to keep him..so they reached out to us..and we said yes..a little shy at first..after a few short days..he is already started showing his funny side!! He needs to be neutered..vaccinated and microchipped..then he’ll be ready for his loving forever home! Welcome to our family Mellow ❤️🐾❤️
