Sometimes you just need to get away from life and remember to have some "me" time on MY horses....and to see what the youngsters have started to think about people on horses! ****ck

We made it back the the The Wild Horse Refuge symposium with Wild Horse Summit. I did some demos with Jinnie and Melee (who is available for adoption through Wild Hearts Haven). Blackberry also came along and her and Jinnie have made it safely to their new home in Missouri! They will be missed but are ready for their next chapter in life! There are still 4 little yearlings looking for a home if you know of anyone!

Well the symposium at The Wild Horse Refuge with the Wild Horse Summit is over and it has been quite a week! Between demos, lectures, the film fest, and the horses there was still so much we didn't get to do. But we are so grateful to who came to to help, support, and participate during the event. This was a group effort from the beginning, with the Refuge hauling the horses from Utah to us, sponsors, Save America's Wild Horses, and the American Mustang Project helping to support their care, and of course Lisa Diersen making sure it all came together to make everything happen. The trainers that came all did a great job working with the yearlings and it was so great to catch up with so many people, as well as make some new connections. While not everyone got adopted, we excited to say that Jinnie got reassigned and is going to live with Blackberry (the 2 year old was adopted and got a ride along with the yearlings). Benji's trainer fell in love with her and decided to adopt her so she will be heading to Texas with Mary Kitzmiller Horsemanship but we are still figuring out transport (please reach out if you know someone headed that way). The American Mustang Project took Shelby and J-Hope so they are headed to Missouri to continue their journey. And little Wyatt went with George Brauneis for the time being so he can continue working with him. We brought back Daydream, Gertie, Cheerio, and Serendipity who we will continue to work with and place into new homes. Every one of these horses has a sweet dispostion so it is only a matter of time before they find their new person. Even now people are still networking and creating interest for them. It has been a whirlwind of a week but we are grateful to be a part of "the herd" and involved with so many amazing people. This is only the beginning of the journey for these little horses and we are so thankful to be a part of it. πŸ΄πŸ’—
