Some times are session time is spent more on the ground then in the saddle. One of our instructors happens to be an equine bodyworker as well. We spent this time with Dobby learning to find “sticky spots” and letting our hands sink in and help release that spot.

***CHA IRD Clinic 2026*** What an incredible clinic we had this year. Three new certified instructors for HOPE and three more dispersed across the US. We are so grateful to our Clinic Certifiers to come out to Whidbey and spend 7 days in the rain and cold and sometimes sun to certify an amazing group of instructors to teach riders with disabilities. Congrats Jodi Leuenberger, Viv Engelbach and Catherine Trina Wollard Markel on your hard work and dedication to this process it absolutely paid off and we are all so proud of you! Congrats also to the other instructors visiting from all over the US, everyone here was so amazing! As HOPE starts up with lessons this spring all three instructors have jumped right in to applying everything they learned and are already improving our program! Please reach out if you are interested in lessons this spring, summer or fall there are a couple more slots left to be filled. Last but NOT LEAST, thank you to all the volunteers that make this clinic possible, whether it was grocery shopping, providing lunches, riding in lessons or helping to tack and care for the horses we are so grateful for you and could not do these things without you. Honorable mention goes to our incredible herd Bongo, Kaz, Sunrise, Dobby, Nemo and Bruce, you all worked so hard this week for us and we are forever grateful for your patience and hard work. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
