Hallelujah Ranch We are a small boarding, leasing, lesson & trail riding horse facility, located on 90 acres in Lancaster, SC.

Horse Boarding Facility, offers riding and training & trail rides. We also have an indoor batting cage and baseball/softball instructor. There is a 3 acre pond that is great for fishing, walking around or taking a boat out.

Thank you Dr. Whaley for coming out to take care of these boys! Rhodey has come so far already, no longer needs to be bandaged, and is allowed to start going out a bit to get moving & strength build back up. Maui… well he got X-rays & the puncture did not get the coffin bone & seems to be clean in there so after some extra antibiotics & hoof wrap, he’s back out too, keeping Moose baby company and taking it easy on the road to recovery ❤️‍🩹 🙏

Another successful rewrap day for Rhodey (aka Yoshi) He stood like a champ, earned some treats & scratches… He LOVES getting brushed & scratched! Then we went for a walk & grazed before going back to a clean stall & Maui, who can’t hardly walk right now, so he will just have to deal with treats & getting brushed… which he does NOT like, brushing these 2 is a completely opposite experience 😂😂😂

Are you listening to your Horse?

Sometimes I ignore mine I will admit… it seems like they’re whinning to each other for no reason or they’re just annoyed. They wanna know how everyone’s doing. I’m not even sure sometimes… today I was in the far back Pasture clearing up rocks and sticks sweating my butt off… and I heard Maui in the very front pasture whinying. I ignored him at first, but he kept talking and he had friends in his pasture so I was trying to decide as I worked, what he would be complaining about … maybe he missed Rhodey? Not likely enough to cry for him… maybe the mares in the next pasture? still they’re not nice to him so why would he ask for them ?… reluctantly I decided to go check it out… he was just standing by the roundbale of hay & I was thinking he must be stuck on something but couldn’t figure out what… didn’t see anything when I got there so ok, what next, picked up his feet & a nearby stick for a hoofpick to see if there was anything in his foot, why else would he just be standing there? First foot nothing, but after a bit of cleaning in second foot I felt a pokey thing that was not coming out, turns out it was a stick that got stuck UP INTO his foot 🤦‍♀️ I couldn’t get it with my fingers so I told him to stay put while I ran & grabbed some pliers. Thankfully I was able to pull it loose & blood started pouring out immediately… he already knew what to do, he turned & limped toward the gate so I could bring him in & give him some pain meds… clean it out, wrap it… he just got rid of an abscess, now his foot has a puncture wound in it. At least Rhodey has company… 🙏🤷‍♀️🐴🐴

Happy one week to Rhodes! He’s been such a good boy, stuck in his stall, taking daily walks around the ranch… we’ve been going through the noodles to keep it interesting and he’s helping to w**d eat in the arena to help earn his keep 😂🤷‍♀️ Today was the first day we undid the vet wrapped leg to inspect and rewrap. It still looks awful under there but seems to be making some progress thankfully 🙏🙏🙏. He stood like an angel for me to rewrap it, I couldn’t believe how good he was, I almost pinched myself 😂 when I went to trim his mane he did not want to stand for that though 😂🤷‍♀️

Well Hallelujah, Praise the Lord! Whirlwind day watching miracles happen… not only did the funds get raised to buy back Rhodey, but he was on the trailer & to the Ranch almost immediately following the goal getting hit 🥰🙏😱🐴 Thank you to everyone for your support, prayers & donations 🙏🙏🙏
