Meet Obi 👁️🐾
Obi came in after his owner noticed something unusual with his eye. After an exam, we suspected a condition called dry eye, which is common in breeds like Pugs and Shih Tzus.
Dry eye occurs when the body doesn’t produce enough of the water component of tears, which can lead to irritation, inflammation, and discomfort.
Today we’re performing a tear test to help confirm the diagnosis and determine the best treatment plan moving forward.
The good news is that with early diagnosis and proper treatment, many pets can stay comfortable and maintain healthy vision for years to come!
