🐾 PUPDATE TIME! 🐾

Stewie (Stewart), fka Trouble, is proving that sometimes the puppies with the biggest personalities grow into the most amazing dogs!

His mom says he's active, funny, and always up for an adventure. And when the zoomies finally run out, he's a world-class cuddle bug.

His favorite pastime? Bird watching! Who could have possibly seen that coming from a TriSetters pup? 😉🐦

One of my favorite things about this update is hearing that Stewie visits his human grandma at the nursing home. He shares his happy spirit, wagging tail, and gentle heart with everyone he meets, bringing smiles wherever he goes. That's the kind of thing that makes a breeder's heart so full.

As always, I absolutely love getting updates on our pups, so please keep coming ❤️

Fitness goal for Demi and ME!!!

We ARE going to do this NEXT YEAR. We have started daily walkies and the plan is after the puppies are born that we can take it the next phase and start short jogs. By the fall we are hoping to both be used to the harness set-up and start with minor obstacles including swims together.

Does anyone want to join us in our goal for next year?

PS> Miss Princess Artemis Fowler, will also be looking for someone to do this with her so she can join her momma in this adventure.

Soooo Demi, Arte, and Misty casually decided to raid their “good dog allowance” and invest in a few raffle tickets to support Illinois Birddog Rescue … and the girls were very lucky!

Demi and Misty came home BIG winners—and immediately upgraded their lifestyle with a MASSIVE Orvis bed that is, frankly, way too fancy for their previous “strategic pile-in-the-kennel-at-bedtime” arrangement. Demi has fully claimed it… for now. We’ll see how long that lasts once Misty makes her usual 3am entrance like, “oh hey… where is everyone?” and squeezes in with her bestie anyway. 😄

And because they believe in full generosity (and excellent timing), the girls also secured Papa’s Father’s Day gifts— Marcin is now officially on a waiting list for his setter tie clips, decanter, and belt buckle. Patience builds character… right? 😉

Bonus highlight of the day: hanging out with Lisa and her whole crew, sharing lunch, laughs, and good conversation with fellow setter enthusiast. Always a joy to be surrounded by people who get the setter life.

Is there anyone in the Chicagoland area who may be interested in fostering a pregnant setter?

She is due in a couple of weeks. She is currently located in Kentucky and Illinois Birddog Rescue is ready to transport her here if they can get a foster lined up.

If the foster is in the NorthShore area, I can assist with whelping, ENS and ESI. Illinois Birddog Rescue is providing food, medical and whelping supplies.

When hunting season wraps up, the girls don’t slow down—they just switch gears 🐾🔥

Offseason = go time:
• Agility for brains + speed
• FastCAT for that need-for-speed fix
• Lure coursing to keep the chase alive
• And of course… splashy splashy 💦 (dock diving never gets old)

A tired dog is a happy dog—and these girls are living their best life year-round ❤️

So this video showed up in my personal feed and I had to share... Demi absolutely hates wearing anything... even harnesses as you can tell from the video. She was less than a year old on this video!

We used to have a trolly run at our camper before we put a fence up around our site, so she HAD to wear it for safety purposes, but it didnt mean she had to like it lol

As she has matured, she still turns into a statue if I attempt to put anything on her... the only exception is her hunting chest protector, but even then its takes her a few minutes of giving me the evil eye before she gets to work/fun.

PUPPY WATCH!

Demi (FHF Miss Demeanor) was successfully bred to Rudy (S B Master Rudy) last week! If all goes as planned, puppies are expected to arrive mid June, with a projected go-home date in mid-August.

This is a repeat breeding, and we couldn’t be more excited—puppies from Demi and Rudy’s previous litter have met and continue to exceed our expectations.

Both parents are fully health tested (including OFA) and genetically tested. Puppies will be AKC and FDSB/UKC registered.

We are expecting Tri-Color and Black/White puppies, with the possibility of Liver/Chestnut (while not common, both Demi and Rudy carry the genetics for this color). There will NOT be any orange/white or lemon/white puppies from this pairing.

We currently have 6 deposits but would love to add a few more families to our list before the puppies arrive. If you’re interested in learning more about our program or joining the deposit list, please visit our website:

Upcoming Fall Litter (Misty)

We are also planning to breed Misty (Loneridge Misty Sunrise) formerly owned by Gary Walters this fall, around October, provided we have at least 5 deposits secured by the end of September.

We are considering a few stud options, with our top choice being NSTRA Amateur Champion Jingo White Clover Cloud, owned by Morgan Dodd in Alabama.

I am also seeking a co-own home from the Misty litter, as this will probably be Misty’s final breeding. We prefer co-own homes to be a competitive home (hunting and/or sporting).

If you have any questions about either of these planned litters, feel free to reach out!

We expect these puppies to make exceptional companions for recreational hunters, sporting dog enthusiasts, and active families. We also anticipate a few strong candidates for those interested in competitive field trials.

Please note: We require a fenced yard and an indoor home environment for all puppies. While we respect that some hunting homes utilize outdoor kennels, our puppies are raised in-home with daily human interaction, and we are committed to maintaining that standard.
