Last week we were delighted to host a Fostering Workshop for learners at Mayo Clinic. Valeria, a SKCSR adopter and Mayo grad student, applied for and was awarded Mayoโ€™s Learner-Led Community Engagement Grant โ€“ so a huge thank you to Valeria for championing our mission to save Jacksonvilleโ€™s stray kitties! We used the grant money to purchase supplies for basic fostering kits for 20 future Springfield Fosters including carriers, kitten-sized pop-up tents, flea combs, toys, plush beds, and more. At the end of class the students put together all 20 of the kits and they are ready to share with our next fosters!

We LOVE this kind of community engagement โ€“ spreading the word about how rewarding it is to foster kittens and the impact foster and rescue has on our community ๐Ÿ’—

Thank you Valeria and Mayo Clinic ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›
