Meet Feyre & Jesper — a deeply devoted pair whose story is full of resilience, love, and second chances. ✨

Feyre and Jesper are truly inseparable. Whether they’re snuggled together resting, exploring side-by-side, or greeting visitors together, these two bring each other endless comfort and companionship. 💞🐇🐇

Feyre, the white and brown beauty, has overcome so much in her journey. She was originally rescued as a stray and at the time was unable to hop. With loving care, patience, and determination, she made an incredible recovery — and now she happily explores, hops around, and even does adorable little binkies. 🥹✨ She does still experience some residual nerve firing from her previous injury and takes gabapentin twice daily, which she handles like an absolute pro. 💊💕

She’s affectionate, curious, and always excited when people stop by to visit. Feyre also has a playful mischievous side and loves digging in her litter box and other bunny-approved digging spots. 😂🐾

Jesper, the darker black bun, is a total people-lover who lights up whenever he gets attention. He and Feyre were originally adopted separately, but after meeting, they formed an incredibly close bond and became inseparable companions. 🖤🤍 Though they were later returned to foster care when their caregiver could no longer care for them, they’ve continued to thrive together through it all.

Jesper is affectionate, friendly, and always eager to meet new people. Since returning to foster care, he’s also been working hard on his health journey after being overweight, and he’s making amazing progress with proper diet, exercise, and care. 🥗✨

These two would thrive in a calm, loving indoor home that understands just how special bonded rabbits are. Their connection is beautiful to witness, and they deserve a family who will cherish them together forever. 🏡💖

💭 This week’s featured rabbit has been overlooked for adoption—but we think they’re someone special. 🐰✨

Sometimes the quietest rabbits have the biggest hearts. 💕

Jane may not be the bunny hopping up to the front of her pen at an adoption event, and that’s okay. New places, new people, and lots of activity can be overwhelming for a naturally timid rabbit. 🥺 That doesn’t mean she won’t become an incredible companion—it just means she needs someone willing to let her bloom at her own pace. 🌸

Jane was born after her mother, an abandoned rabbit, was rescued and brought to safety. Just a few days later, Jane and her family came into IHRS. While most of her siblings have already found their forever homes, Jane is still patiently waiting for hers. ❤️

With patience, gentle kindness, and consistency, Jane has learned that humans can be her friends. 🤍 The most important thing to know about her is that her trust is something you earn—but once you do, it’s truly special. She forms deep bonds with the people who give her the time she needs. 🥹

She’s also a tidy girl with excellent litter box habits! 🌾✨

⚡🐰 Meet Thor! 🐰⚡

This handsome boy is making up for lost time, and he’s ready to fill his days with yummy food, endless pets, playful adventures, and LOTS of love! 🥹💖

🥬🍓 The way to Thor’s heart is through his stomach! This boy LOVES his fresh greens, treats, and especially his hay! 🌾 He still has some food anxiety from his past, so he tends to gobble everything up as soon as it arrives. We’re helping him slow down with fun enrichment activities like snuffle mats. Mealtime is SERIOUS business for this guy! 😂🥗

🥰 Once his tummy is happy, Thor’s ready for his next favorite thing: YOU! His incredibly soft, plush Rex fur is made for petting, and he absolutely adores attention. 💕 He’ll hop right over when you enter the room—and if you’re not close enough? He might just climb his exercise pen to get closer! 😍🐇 Talk about a love-struck bunny!

🏡✨ Since being neutered, Thor has developed excellent litter box habits, making him an even more wonderful house rabbit!

🎾 This sweet guy has a playful side, too! He loves chewing on toys, tossing them around, exploring every nook and cranny, and binkying with pure bunny joy! 💨💗

Watching Thor embrace the simple joys of being a rabbit is so rewarding. He deserves a loving indoor home where he can feel safe, cherished, and adored every single day. ❤️🏠

❤️ Sanctuary Sunday

❤️ Meet one of our sanctuary rabbits, whose story reminds us why every rabbit deserves love, safety, and compassionate care. 🐰🌈

💜 Meet Grace.

Some rabbits come to us needing a simple treatment.

Others need surgery.

And then there are rabbits like Grace—who remind us that rescue isn't always about finding a cure. Sometimes, it's about giving comfort, dignity, and love.

Grace is a cherished member of our Broken Lop Club. After advanced diagnostics, including a CT scan, our exceptional veterinary team discovered that she has severe middle ear disease with significant bone destruction in both ears. The disease extends so deeply that surgery would be extraordinarily risky because of its proximity to her brain.

As much as we wish we could fix her, this is one injury that medicine cannot safely repair.

We don't know exactly what Grace endured before she came to Indiana House Rabbit Society. We do know she was neglected. We know she didn't receive the veterinary care she desperately needed. And we know that, over time, a treatable condition became irreversible.

So we made a promise to Grace.

Instead of pursuing procedures that would cause more harm than good, we have chosen palliative care. Our focus is no longer on curing her disease—it's on giving her the very best quality of life for however long she has.

That means favorite foods.

Soft places to rest.

Gentle hands.

Pain management.

A safe home.

And all the love a rabbit could ever hope for.

Grace will never again wonder where her next meal is coming from or whether someone cares.

She will spend the rest of her days surrounded by people who adore her, and when she lets us know that she's ready, we'll give her the final gift of peace, with the same love and dignity that has guided every step of her journey.

Not every rabbit can be healed.

But every rabbit deserves to be loved.

And Grace will be—every single day. 💜🐰

Kenzie was captured as a stray in Indianapolis, and she’s so happy to have a safe, cozy place to call home while she waits for her forever family. 🏡❤️

This adorable girl is extra soft, with fluffier fur than your average bunny, making her just as cuddly as she looks! ☁️🐇 She enjoys gentle pets while she’s relaxing and might even sit in your lap for a little while before hopping off to continue her important bunny adventures. 🥰

Kenzie is a hay enthusiast 🌾, a big fan of her bell toy 🔔, and has a mischievous streak! If you leave a sheet within reach, don’t be surprised if she decides it belongs in her pen—and adds a few decorative holes along the way! 😂🪡
