Hello, my beautiful follower and clients! Every once in a while I like to post something important, but not dog related and today is going to be that day. I would like to think that our clients know how much we care not only about their pets, but also about them (yep, the people too!). So, I encourage you take a second to follow along with me on a little story time 😂
We care about YOU. We want to celebrate with you, we can be that ear to listen to, and we will share tears with you. We cry when your dog passes, heck, we cry when our human clients pass (it happens and it so hard).
So, here’s something I want to share with you. Seven years ago, bright and early on June 2, 2019, my husband and I were getting ready to take the vans to do nail trims for donations for the WillaMutt Strut, a local 5k put on by the Humane Society. My dad drove to my house just a few miles from his to pick my kids up to babysit them (they were little - 4 and 5). And while I was helping him buckle them into the car, he had a stroke in the middle of the street. I recognized the symptoms BECAUSE I saw a post on facebook 4 months prior, just like this one. We lived close to the fire station and they were there quickly. And yes, my dad is still alive and he is doing well❤️ Sometimes you’ll see him at the shop helping fix something or putting a rug in the truck so we can wash it at home. Say hi. He loves a good chat!
I share this for many reasons. One, if this can help someone save a life, then this small post has done its job. But also, we are paying attention to our clients, we listen without judging, we watch as y’all age, just like the dogs, and we pay attention. If your biggest accomplishment for the day is you made it to the grooming appointment, we will celebrate you (even if it’s in your PJs😂), if it’s that you remembered to unlock the front door and are still in bed, that’s ok too. Did your spouse have a stroke? We want to check on you too because we know it’s hard on everyone. Did the kids get sent off to their first day of kinder or college? We get it, enjoy the quiet! Can’t get a jar open as we’re dropping the dog off, we can try to help. Do we groom your parents dog too? We saw Mom last week and she looked great but how’s your dad doing?
The point is - we care. Not just about your dog, we care about you too❤️
