Being a breeder is so much more than just cute puppies and happy pictures. It’s the heartbreak no one sees. The sleepless nights bottle feeding every couple hours, the constant worrying, the sickness, the losses that absolutely break you, and the emotional attachment you try so hard not to form but always do anyway.
It’s spending every day making sure these babies are healthy, loved, and safe while also carrying the weight of choosing the right homes for them. Because to me, they are not “just dogs.” We brought them into this world, cared for them when they were tiny and helpless, celebrated every little milestone, and loved them long before anyone else did.
There are moments where exhaustion takes over and we say we’re done. Moments where the stress, heartbreak, and emotional toll feel too heavy. But then… those little eyes open for the first time. Those tiny tails start wagging. They recognize your voice, crawl into your lap, and somehow make every sleepless night worth it all over again.
Breeding is not easy. It takes patience, sacrifice, love, heartbreak, and a whole lot of strength. But watching these babies grow and knowing they’ll become someone’s best friend, protector, and family member… that feeling is hard to explain.
To the breeders who cry behind closed doors, stay up all night fighting for tiny lives, question themselves constantly, and still keep going because they love these animals so deeply - that is a damn good breeder❤️
