Happy Birthday to the DOGMAN himself! 🎉🐾

The heart behind DOGMAN, the leader of our pack, and the guy who somehow always knows exactly what our dogs are trying to tell us.

We’re so grateful for William and the care, patience, and passion he brings to every dog, family, and member of our team. Help us wish him a very Happy Birthday! 🎂🐶

This August, we’re honoring Charlotte as our Dog of the Month. 🤍

Charlotte was a loyal and loving companion who welcomed everyone into her home with a happy smile. She loved cuddling with her family, playing with balls, enjoying peanut butter and cheese, taking road trips to South Carolina, swimming in the ocean and spending time in Austin.

Even when she was hurting, Charlotte remained joyful and full of love. She may not have been the best watchdog because she greeted everyone she met with a smile, but she was the very best girl.

We feel incredibly lucky to have known Charlotte and to have had her as part of the DOGMAN family. She will always be remembered and deeply missed.

If your dog barks and you immediately respond, you’ve created a pattern.

Your dog barks.
You react.
Your dog gets your attention.

Repeat that enough times, and barking becomes a learned behavior because it consistently gets a response.

Changing your dog’s behavior starts with changing the pattern.

At DOGMAN, we help owners understand the why behind unwanted behaviors so they can create lasting change through relationship-based training—not louder voices or quick fixes.

Ready to break the cycle? Reach out to get started.

When you’re still building a relationship with a dog, every interaction matters.

On their first day together, this dog stopped during the walk and focused on something nearby. Instead of pulling him away or forcing him forward, William sat beside him and became part of the moment.

That choice showed the dog that William wasn’t just there to control the walk. He was paying attention, respecting what mattered to him, and creating an experience they could share.

Trust isn’t automatic. It’s built through moments like this.

Does your dog steal food off the counter, table, or trail you (and your kids) around hoping for the next snack?

What about grabbing food off the floor? It might seem harmless… until the day it’s not. What happens when chocolate, medication, or another toxin accidentally falls? Your dog will make a dog decision unless they’ve learned otherwise.

Counter surfing isn’t just a bad habit. It’s often a behavior we accidentally create when food becomes the center of every interaction.

When treats become the primary way we communicate with our dogs, they start to see people as automatic snack dispensers. They’re constantly learning what behaviors get them access to food.

The answer isn’t baby gates, yelling, or constantly managing the environment. It’s helping your dog understand boundaries through the relationship they have with you.

At DOGMAN, we don’t just stop the behavior. We help you understand what’s driving it so you can create lasting change through relationship-based training.

Ready to stop managing the behavior and start changing it? Reach out to get started.

Your dog is communicating long before a situation escalates.

Changes in posture, facial expression, movement and energy can all signal discomfort, stress or a need for space. Learning to recognize those cues helps you respond earlier, respect your dog’s boundaries and become a stronger advocate for them.

At DOGMAN, we help owners and dogs better understand one another so they can build trust, communicate clearly and live together more harmoniously.

Leash training does not need snacks.

With Remy, we are starting with the foundation: the relationship. Treats can create extra excitement and, in some cases, a false sense of progress. Real leash work comes from teaching your dog to respond to you, your presence and your direction.

After more than 12 years of relationship-based training, we know the strongest results come from helping dogs and owners understand how to work together.

No gimmicks. Just clear communication, consistency and trust.

Bomber’s family came to us feeling like they were out of options.

He was showing serious aggression toward their other dogs, and his parents were preparing for the hardest possible decision. Then their vet recommended DOGMAN.

Over five training sessions, they began to see Bomber differently. They learned how much they didn’t know about what he was communicating, how much freedom he was being given, and how their own presence, posture, and timing could influence his behavior.

Most importantly, they learned how to recognize the cues before a bad situation escalated, giving them the tools to step in, de-escalate, and help Bomber make better choices.

The change they have seen has been huge, not just in Bomber, but in the way they understand and communicate with him.

Stories like this are why we do what we do. Sometimes the solution starts with learning how to see your dog more clearly.

If you’re feeling out of options with your dog, give us a call. We’re here to help.

Hard truth: your dog’s unwanted behavior may not be just a “dog problem.”

When families come to us for help with barking, reactivity, anxiety, jumping, boundaries, or other challenges, we look at the whole picture. That includes your dog, your home environment, your routines, your communication, and the patterns that may be reinforcing the behavior.

It is not about blame. It is about understanding what is actually going on so we can create a plan that works.

And here’s the good news: even if you are part of the problem, you are also a very important part of the solution.

Give us a call. We’ll help you get to the root of it.
