The Amazing Bobinsky. 🤍
Bobinsky was found as a stray, severely starved and in heartbreaking condition. By the time he was rescued, he had already been through so much. Despite every effort to give him a chance, we ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go.
It’s difficult to think about all Bobinsky endured before he was found and how different things might have been if help had reached him sooner. He deserved a life where survival wasn’t a daily struggle, where he could feel safe and cared for without having to fight so hard. We can’t change what happened before he came into our care, but we’re grateful he had people fighting for him and that he didn’t have to face his final days alone.
Last week was especially hard for our rescue team as we said goodbye to both Bobinsky and Dolly Holly on the same day. Rescue comes with so much hope, but it also comes with loss and difficult decisions. We do everything we can for the animals who come into our care, but sometimes, even when we fight for them, we have to let them go.
He deserved so much more than the life he was given, and we hope that in his final days, he knew what it felt like to be safe and cared for.
We’re so sorry, sweet Bobinsky. You deserved a different story.
