Patricia Lero who is a Doggie DIva client, asked if I would post about possibly helping her and the family to find a loving home for her daughter's 2 dogs. Pat's daughter died from cancer on Monday and it has been devastating to leave behind her beloved fur babies.They are 7 year old spayed female sheepadoodles weighing 55-60 lbs. Both are current on vaccines. Annie has history of seizures but now well-controlled since starting phenobarbital in Feb. They have been inside dogs, would definitely need a fenced yard. They are super sweet, friendly, love attention and would do well with children and other dogs. It is important that they stay together as they are already starting to grieve for their human mama that loved them. It really breaks my heart to think of her hoping her babies are left behind, would be cared for and loved.

Paula and I did the ALS 60 mile ride in honor of my brother Ronnie who died last year from ALS. I have done 17 MS150's and this was the hardest ride I have done. From our starting point in Wimberly, it was climbing like I have never done! Strava and Garmin showed that we climbed our highest on a ride so far, coming in at 3,451 ft...that 2 1/2 Empire State Buildings! For us flatlanders, that is a big climb! Many on the 60 mile route decided to take the shorter route back at the split and I really couldn't blame them. We were the last ones to come in as we took a different way back since the route markers had been taken up early and a SAG angel named Alex found us and was our es**rt the last 12 miles to the finish.
The spirit that resides inside the human suit can do things beyond the point of endurance when connected to the higher power and that power from above gave me the energy to keep going, my ride partner Paula Andries Gray and I have been through thousands of miles together over the last 13 plus years and I imagine we will ride a few thousand more before it is all over!
Thank you to those generous friends and family who donated to this cause, the money we all raised will go to help fund wheelchairs, ramps, in home care when needed and of course research!

2 1/2 weeks left for donations to the ALS ride. I am so excited to have a ride that raises money and awareness for such a cruel disease, I will be riding with my little brother as an angel on my shoulder the whole way, he never gave up until he took his last breath! My grief is heavy but this ride allows me to put my energy into something that may help others with ALS, XOXO

I will be riding in honor of my brother Ronnie who died from ALS, a very cruel disease that has been left at the bottom of the list for research. I ride to bring awareness and raise money for research, all proceeds go to the ALS foundation. Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of his death. My family and I thank you to all who support this foundation for research. XOXO
