Texas Litter Control Low cost spay/neuter & wellness care for cats and dogs 🐾
-Proudly serving Greater Houston-💙
📍 Spring • Humble • Tomball • Houston

Texas Litter Control, "TLC", is an animal welfare organization existing for the sole purpose of supporting our animals, pet owners and animal shelters. TLC started as a single high quality, high volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic for cats and dogs in an 800 foot trailer. We now operate three clinics for cats and dogs. TLC offers an expanded access to healthcare programs for those who cannot afford full service veterinary clinics. We maintain a shelter intervention program (HelpMeKeepMyPet.com) to help people keep their pets in a time of crisis. TLC has training programs for veterinary surgeons and clinic staff (TLCEducationStation.org). We offer spay/neuter transport services to underservices areas. We maintain a petfood pantry for people needing short term assistance. Texas Litter Control is also responsible for changing the Montgomery County ordinances to protect community cats We also act as a provider for Harris County's community cat program These community cat programs have saved hundreds of cats a year. TLC believes in changing with the times Other communities have come up with so many innovative ways to reduce the suffering of pets and their people. We host an annual conference called the United Pet Rescuers Conference. This conference shows off what others are doing and brings the animal welfare community together. One organization cannot do it all. We all have to be part of the solution! (UnitedPetRescuers.org)

We have performed over 100,000 spay/neuter services since we were founded. Spaying and neutering is still the number one way to help your community. You can join us in supporting your local shelters by just fixing your pets and spreading the word! Stay tuned for more life saving programs!

Happy Vet Tech Week! Our first spotlight is Brianna! 🐾

Brianna joined the TLC family in April 2025, and in her own words, watching your new fur babies grow and learn right alongside our team is what makes this her dream job. She brings heart and dedication to every patient who walks through our doors.

Thank you, Brianna, for the compassion you show our clients and their pets every single day. We are so lucky to have you.

Help us celebrate Brianna in the comments! 💙

On National Feral Cat Day, we are celebrating the cats that the world overlooks. Just look at these sweet faces. 🧡 Ferals didn’t choose this life, but they still deserve compassion, and TNR is how we give it to them. It works like this: we humanely trap community cats, spay or neuter and vaccinate them, then return them to their colony where they’re happiest. Every cat fixed means fewer kittens born outside. If you feed a colony, please get them fixed too. And if you have any questions about TNR, feel free to reach out to us 🐾

Some cats take a little longer to trust the good life, and Miles was one of them. Trapped off the streets in rough shape, he came to Texas Litter Control needing serious help, and our team amputated his badly injured leg. What followed was the best part. Miles learned that couches beat concrete, that regular meals beat scrounging, and that having a family beats going it alone. He became the ultimate couch potato and lived a wonderful life, deeply loved. Not every community cat wants the indoor life, but Miles did. This is the heart of TNR, meeting cats where they are and giving them every chance at something better. 🧡

Do you have a TNR success story? DM us to share! 😸
