Headin' Home Pet Rescue, Inc. Headin' Home Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 by Dr. Jim Bader and Merri Van D**e.

We have placed numerous animals (dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs) in new homes and our mission is to provide the best care to our animals during their stay at the rescue and place them in a home dedicated to helping beyond their needs. In 2022, Emily Wolters and Kenzie Shannon followed their dream and continue to manage the rescue. Dogs are adopted out spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm

and tick disease tested if old enough, and current on all core vaccines. Cats are adopted out spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV and FeLV tested, and current on all core vaccines.

🏡 Maple needs a soft, loving place to land. 💗

At around 11½ years old, Maple has returned to us after her owner is experiencing some health concerns. A diffcult decision made out of her immense love for Maple. Some of you may remember this sweet Coton de Tulear mix from the large surrender we took in back in 2020.

After losing her longtime canine companion earlier this year, Maple has become more anxious and vulnerable. Her new home must have another dog—ideally a calm, friendly companion similar in size to help her feel safe and secure. A fenced in yard would be a bonus has she never had had that and she loves being out in the yard exploring.

Maple needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home with patience, consistency, and plenty of reassurance. Before settling in, we are going to clean her teeth, remove a mass and check her bloodwork. She has history of pancreatitis and must remain on Hill’s i/d Low Fat prescription food long-term.

Maple deserves a quiet home, a canine friend, and a loving family for her golden years. If you can give her a safe place to land, please apply to foster or foster-to-adopt.

🏡Foster needed! 💞

Remember those four itty-bitty babies we took in? They were so tiny (maybe about 2-3 weeks) and needed bottle feeding. Kenzie looked at their tiny faces and took them home to foster. They’re all doing well! Officially meet the Hogwarts House Founders group-Godric, Helga, Rowena and Salazar ❤️💛💙💚

Kenzie is leaving for a get-away soon and we are hoping to find a home to transition them to where they can still get care and socialization. They are thankfully out of the bottle feeding period and are eating wet food on their own.

Another happy update!! Our Honeybee 🍯🐝 found her fur-ever home! Her name is now Murphy 😻. Her new dad is so dedicated to her and says she has been such an amazing addition to their home. And Murphy has a new cat sibling that loves her too!

It makes our hearts smile hearing and seeing our rescues in such loving and caring homes. Thank you for adopting! And big thank you to Dr. Andrea and her family for fostering Honeybee until she found her fur-ever home 🏡
