Fireworks can be fun for humans, but for many dogs, the boom-booms can feel scary, confusing, and stressful.

This year, Dogs Bay is offering Stars, Snuggles & Sweet Dreams, a special 4th of July comfort package for boarding guests, where
our team will be on hand during the fireworks to comfort the fur kids, check on them, sit with them when safe and appropriate, offer gentle reassurance, and help them feel loved through the noisy part of the night, PLUS some extra comfort goodies to ensure a happy and safe experience during our local fireworks display.

We can’t stop the fireworks, but we can make sure your dog is not facing the boom-booms alone.

🌦️🐾 VIP Plus Adventure: A Little Bit of Everything!

Mother Nature kept us on our toes today, so our VIP Plus crew enjoyed a smorgasbord of fun!

We started outside with:

Then, when the rain rolled in, we moved the party indoors for:

🎓 Sit & Down Manners Practice

⚽🐾 VIP Plus Adventure: Soccer Stars! 🏆

Today's VIP Plus crew hit the field for a little doggy soccer—and let's just say we may have discovered a few future MVPs! 😄

Kicking, chasing, nudging, and stealing the ball from their friends (all in good fun, of course 😂), the pups had an absolute blast.

Soccer-style play is great for:
⚽ burning energy
⚽ building confidence
⚽ encouraging social interaction
⚽ improving coordination and body awareness

And perhaps most importantly… it's just plain FUN!

By the end of playtime, there were happy pups, wagging tails, and a few very proud athletes headed in for a well-earned nap. 🐾💛

Who says game day is just for humans? Today our VIP Plus pups put their athletic skills to the test with a variety of sports balls—from soccer balls and basketballs to footballs and tennis balls!

Different shapes, sizes, and textures keep dogs curious, engaged, and moving. Plus, activities like these help:

🏈 burn energy in a healthy way
⚽ build confidence and coordination
🏀 encourage social play and sharing
🎾 provide mental enrichment through exploration and choice

Some pups dribbled like soccer stars, some tackled like linebackers, and a few proudly carried their favorite ball around like they had just won the championship. 😂🏆

Safe to say there were plenty of MVPs (Most Valuable Pups) on the field today!
