Little video of Retta doing it right for a young dog. A double, two birds down, she is sent for the retrieve and the beautiful memory kicks in. She changes her return a bit to check on it. Both birds retrieved to hand.
Great to train and watch a dog leave with solid behaviors.

Congratulations to the red dogs kicking it at the Golden Retriever Nationals in Bayard, Nebraska. Buzz (left) earned an AKC Senior Hunter and Working Class Excellent WCX. Brimley (right) earned an AKC Junior Hunter and went big and earned a WCX also.
Congratulations to their owners Laurie and Jodee who worked with me (put up with me) and continued through all the criticism, coaching and drills.
Congratulations and very nice work ladies!

Update: The WCX test is a land tripple with a shot flyer, water is a double, and an honor inserted at the judges discretion. Statistics on the WCX test, 26 dogs entered, 11 invited back to run water and 10 passed.
Proud of the preparation we gave these dogs.

Ohio Hunting Retriver Club was good to all our working dogs. A few hours of training culminated in this.
Hogan with 2 Finished passes, Nelli with 2 Seasoned passes and a new HR-Hunting Retriever Title and Brimley with 2 Started passes and a new SHR Started Title.
Thanks to the judges, workers and bird techs who helped make this a successful weekend.

Retta earned her HR Hunting Retriever Title Sunday at Michigan Hunting Retriever Club following her test. Unfortunately, I couldn't see her run because I was judging another flight.
Congratulations to her owner Jack Waterway.

Molly tuning up just fine.
As my friend Paul (badge #1) would say, “she’s not Kate”, but she is pretty good.
