Zen needs a foster home until she is adopted or a permanent family quickly. We are helping the person that found Zen and they can’t keep her much longer.

Bring Zen home! Zen is a young small female Tabby in Hickory, NC waiting for adoption.

Feral cats deserve a great life too.
Help us help them.

Donate for their medical care

Spread the word that we need barns or safe outdoor shelter spaces for feral cats.

Adopt a feral as a “house feral”. Yes, they make great house cats! I have 4 untouchables that live in our house and love us from about 5 feet.

Feral cats are no different than your lap cat except you can’t pet them unless you really work with them. They still need food, water and medical care. All of our feral cats come with their medical up to date.

Louie is our two year old snuggle bug who wants nothing more than a full belly, a warm home and a lap to lay on. He’s nothing if not affectionate. And we know for sure that if his classic tabby pattern were exchanged for orange, he would have been adopted 10 times already!

We encourage families to really try to avoid adopting for color and please try to adopt for personality when seeking out new pets.

Louie is the ultimate companion and would make a great best friend ❤️

Louie is 100% vetted, does follow a simple special diet, he is perfectly house trained and gets along with other kitties.

This is why you should consider adopting one of the “not so friendly”, “not so social” cats.

This is Teddy. I trapped Teddy in a field behind the DeMayo law office on LR Blvd several+ years ago. Teddy was wild, feral, aggressive & not at all friendly! Teddy was also a very strong adult male. I am certain he was the cat “mob” boss of LR Blvd.

Teddy was beat up and also sick so he needed care for several weeks before he could be neutered and released back to his field.

As a joke I posted him on Facebook as adoptable. I didn’t hold back. I told his true personality. There was nothing about the post that would make any normal person want to adopt him.

Jodi messaged me and called wanting to adopt him. I told her she really didn’t want to adopt him. She was serious. I thought she had lost her mind. Finally, I agreed to take Teddy to her house to meet her and let her meet this wild beast that would have taken my hand off if I had gotten too close. I did not expect to leave Teddy there. I completely expected to be returning home with this beat up feral cat.

Jodi kept Teddy and she and her husband put the work in. It took a long time but Teddy came around and decided he liked this safe indoor life. Now, fast forward and Teddy lives the life of luxury in Italy…. Yes , I said Italy. Teddy went with his family to live in Italy.

This is by far my biggest success story. Teddy was not adoptable. Teddy was dangerous. Teddy was given a chance very few feral cats will ever have. He is the only feral cat I have ever been afraid of even when in a cage. When I see his posts on Facebook it reminds me why we rescue.
