Here is a remount of the number 6 buck in towns county, taken in 2007 by Tony Berrong. The net score was 132 3/8. Tony also has the number 5 buck at 132 6/8 . But its left g2 was broken off of a split tine on this buck. The mass is unreal for our mountains. The palmettos are nearly 3 inches wide. I rebuilt the point and measured it gross 140 5/8. Tonys son Caleb took an 8 point with a huge neck this year and we used his hide for the remount. Their colors were similar from the pictures. Great picture of Tony and Caleb from 2007. Now they both have a part in the mount of a great buck. The form is a Ben Mears semi upright offset shoulder. Congratulations Tony🦌🦌

Great season for 11 year old Easton Deyton of Union County. He got his first buck. Pretty little velvet 6 point with a crossbow. Then an even bigger one in firearm season. McKenzie 6300S semi sneak form worked well for the velvet buck, with the addition of some wall habitat. He decided to skull mount his other buck. Way to go Easton.
His dad Chad Deyton brought me a nice 8 point from this past season for a skull mount and this beautiful heavy horned 10 point from Union County as well. It was from 2021 and had gotten stranded at another taxidermist shop. Luckily he got it back and it mounted up well on a McKenzie 8400 semi upright. Gotta feeling ill b seeing these guys again.
Congratulations on some great bucks 🦌

Here is a really nice Georgia mountain buck taking locally by Clay Hogsed of Hiawassee. Like father like son. Clay has learned from his dad Brian and is following in his footsteps taking these big mountain bruisers. This is a McKenzie 6500 semi sneak form. One of their older forms, probably their best seller over the years. Congratulations Clay🦌🦌🦌

2025 was a good season for Tyler Davis of Young Harris. A couple of nice private land bucks taken locally. The smaller early season buck is mounted on a McKenzie 8400 semi sneak form. The larger 8 point is mounted on a 9600 full up right. Congratulations Tyler 🦌🦌

Better late than never on this North Georgia public land buck taken a few years back by Blake Miller. Unfortunately the hide was freezer burned but we got a replacement hide from a friend (thanks Faythe Denton) and got it done. This is a Matt Thompson semi sneak form from McKenzies. Really nice buck. Congratulations Blake. 🦌

Couple of young hunters getting it done. 17 year old Matthew Ekeberg and 11 year old Finn Ekeberg of Union County with a couple of nice mountain bucks. Not their first but their best so far. Both McKenzie forms. The first is the 64D head down. The second the 8400 semi upright. Way to go guys. Congratulations. 🦌🦌

Here was a first for me getting to mount a couple of pronghorn antelope. They are beautiful animals. If you saw my previous post on Richard Griggs and Leif Ekeberg with the mule deer they took in Wyoming, on the same hunt they tagged a couple of antelopes as well. Both are McKenzie semi sneak forms, the one with the extended shoulder is a wall pedestal. Congratulations to them again on a very successful hunt.

Congratulations to retired taxidermist Richard Griggs and his son n law Leif Ekeberg of Blairsville on a couple of nice mule deer. A rare treat for me to mount. Beautiful animals. One is a McKenzie wall pedestal and one is a McKenzie semi sneak. If you are not familiar with wall pedestals they have extended shoulders and part of the back sets off the wall and is finished with a variety of materials.
