We met Rumpy at the end of September 2025. He had a severe tail injury and was adopted by a wonderful family. When they saw Tails, they knew he was meant to join Rumpy and his tail of a new life.

The best part of having your foster mom work at your doctor's office? You get to go to work and get lots of love by a lot of great people! Enjoy some photos of Roger prepping for his next hernia surgery by practicing wearing a soft cone.

As you remember, a couple weeks ago, he went in for hernia surgery and it was discovered that he had not one, but two hernias and not enough abdominal muscle to close both. His surgical mesh should arrive this week and we are anticipating he will have his next surgery either Friday or early next week.

At this point we have raised funds for both surgeries, but if you would like to donate towards the care of other cats in our care, we recommend using the Zeffy payment portal, so that you can choose the fee to Zeffy, which can be $0 or to your hearts desire. Zeffy does not charge us processing fees, so your entire donation will come to us.

Have you ever asked AI what career your cat would have? Well, we asked AI what career Curly would do for a living. Curly is a handsome and gentle boy who will take time to adjust to a new home. He sleeps in bed every night with his foster after he has fulfilled his biscuit orders.

Based on Curly's sharp office attire and intense focus, here is his official career profile:
Official Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dairy Operations (or Senior VP of Bovine Affairs) at his local cow-print cardboard scratcher bed. He is looking for an understanding, loving home. He is good with cats and cat friendly dogs. He is 2 yrs and 4 months and he has been with us since he was a tiny baby. If you have questions about the sweet boy, please let us know. We would be happy to answer any questions.

Apply at bfrescue.com/cats

Primary Responsibilities:
Executive Napping: Overseeing all high-priority, round-the-clock rest cycles from the comfort of the main terminal.
Quality Assurance: Keeping a strict, unblinking eye on inventory—specifically that stock of canned beverages sitting right next to his office desk.
Human Management: Staring intently at staff members until treat distribution protocols are properly executed.
judging by that direct gaze, he's currently in the middle of a very important performance review!

Please share if you are unable to adopt. and if you are able, please donate towards the care of Curly as he has been with us for over 2 years.

Now that the weather isn't as hot... just think Saturday we were boiling...let's think about some chocolate and caramels... yum! We are partnering with See's Candies to raise some desperately needed funds, and move some good chocolate into local homes! Founded in 1921 in California they have become a nationwide candy distributor.

If you were a fan of See's Candies at Keystone at the Crossing, now is your chance to get some shipped to you and support rescue cats!

We have a duel update!

Last week Saraphina wanted to go with Foster Mom Susan to see Tails and watch his dressing change.

Both kittens are doing amazing, though Tails says he will be very happy when his tail is healed. Soon little buddy… soon.

Both of these kittens have been to Hell and back and are the sweetest babies you will meet.

These are two kittens who have benefitted from your financial support.

Meet Cory! Named after the lovable and loyal Cory Matthews from Boy Meets World, this sweet little kitten has all the charm and heart of his namesake. Just like Cory, he makes friends wherever he goes and loves being surrounded by those he cares about. Cory is a playful, curious boy who enjoys chasing toys, exploring his surroundings, and spending time with his furry companions. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and is also comfortable with cat-friendly dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet home. After a fun day of play, Cory is happy to curl up for cuddles and soak up all the love and attention you can give. If you're looking for a kitten who is affectionate, social, and sure to become the star of your own coming-of-age story, Cory is ready to be your perfect companion. ❤️🐾

Roger wants everyone to know that he is feeling better today. He wants out to run and play, he does not understand that he had abdominal surgery and needs to stay somewhat quiet for the next month.

We want to thank everyone who has donated money towards his care. We love our village and those who care about the fate cats they have never met.

As we are at set up at Bomgaars today, now until 4pm, with some really adorable cats looking for their forever homes, we wanted to take a moment to give an update on Roger!

Roger had his first of 2 hernia surgeries yesterday. We were a little worried last night because he was feeling a bit rough and having some swelling. These are perfectly normal post op occurrences, but when your patient is only 2lbs? You find yourself holding your breath.

But we had a plan in place, the surgeon and emergency vets on speed dial and an awesome Veterinary Tech as a foster! This morning we woke up to a brighter Roger who had a hearty appetite and ready for the day.

He then got bundled up into his carrier to head to the clinic for a brief assessment and extra loving.

We have raised enough on his fundraiser to cover yesterday’s surgeries, and are continuing to raise money for his second surgery in two weeks.

You can find his fundraiser in a prior post, or on our website, Facebook is now setting limits on posting urls 🤦‍♀️
