Meet Winnie. 💙
This beautiful gray and white pittie girl is just a little over a year old and is looking for a home where she can finally relax and feel safe. Winnie was surrendered because the busy household she lived in became too overwhelming for her. She adored the 4 children in her home, but the constant visitors, kids coming and going, and nonstop activity were simply too much for this sensitive girl.
Winnie would do best in a calmer home environment, maybe without children, or perhaps with just one child and a quieter routine. She is a wonderful dog who just needs a little stability and patience to truly shine.
She is potty trained, knows basic commands, loves toys, and is always happy to settle down with a good bone to chew on. Once Winnie trusts you, she becomes the sweetest little shadow and biggest love bug. She may bark at new people at the shelter because she is scared and overwhelmed, but once you become her friend, she is completely devoted.
Winnie also seems to do well with other dogs, and we think a confident canine companion could really help her come out of her shell and gain confidence.
Right now, the shelter environment is incredibly hard on her. The noise, stress, and constant activity are causing her anxiety to worsen daily despite staff doing everything possible to help keep her comfortable. She desperately needs a foster or adopter who can give her the calm environment she needs to decompress and feel secure again.
