It’s been a busy couple of months for our veterinarians traveling around educating the equine and veterinary community on their specialties, while also working on their own continuing education. At Summit Equine, one of the pillars to our success is education, allowing us to provide the best, state of the art services to our clients so that our patients can perform at their best!

Dr. Dora Ferris attended the Oregon State University lecture on back pain in the horse. She presented at Western Horsemen of Oregon annual convention about joint therapies. While at the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) meeting, she presented on the clinical use of our CT and how it has benefited our patients in its inaugural year.

Dr. Ryan Ferris and Dr. Katelyn Siegel attended the West Coast Reproduction Symposium in California recently to keep up on new advances in reproduction. While there, Dr. Ryan Ferris presented on OPU (oocyte aspiration), managing fluid post breeding and helped in a wet lab to train other veterinarians on how to implement OPU technology in their own clinics. He also moderated at AAEP in Denver on “How to Maximize Breeding Success in Stallions and Mares.”

Both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Dora presented at the AAEP Resort Symposium in Puerto Rico this last week on various topics in Sports Medicine and Reproduction.
