Max Animal ID: 61084935: 3 years old, Neutered Male, Owner Surrender

Max came to us after his owner came to the conclusion they could no longer care for him. His previous home did have many other cats and he had done very well with them. Max may need corrective surgery for entropion in his right eye. We are currently hoping to find rescue or adoptive placement for him that would be able to provide this. With as much love as Max has to give we hope he can find a place to give a little back to him.💕

Meet Lunette Animal ID #: 61081273🐾
Lunette was turned in to us after her previous owner was unable to provide the vet care she needs. We do not know how long she has had this problem. We just know that at this point the ulcer on her left eye has ruptured, become infected, and will need to be enucleated. As she is only a month old and 0.8 of a pound it is a lot for her to handle. She is a fighter though, and is currently eating very well, is active, and seems other wise healthy and in good spirits.

Meet Andouille🐾

This boy comes to us as a stray. He was running loose in a neighborhood and got into a scuffle with a neighbor walking their own dog (don't worry - no pups were injured!). However, the person tried to intervene and was bitten in the process causing a minor bite wound. This is not something uncommon when a dog finds themselves in a situation where their senses are flooded with an unfamiliar environment and unfamiliar people and/or animals. Defenses are often heightened!

Andouille is still quite jumpy and weary of new people. He has a had a difficult time building trust with our Veterinary team. Unfortunately, we do not know much about his past and how he was treated previously, but he does deserve the chance to be assessed outside of the shelter environment after he can truly decompress. We are hoping we can connect with a rescue partner that has connections to help this boy!💙

INFO: Animal ID #: 61058457, 2 weeks old, female, .50lbs.

This singleton kitten comes to us after the mother was hit by a car. The kitten was lying near the base of a tree nearby the roadway😔 Sadly, no other siblings were found.

We were able to find temporary placement for the night, as this kitten is too young to be left alone in the shelter. We are now needing to transfer her to a rescue partner or longer term foster home (2 week commitment). This kitten will need assisted feedings, stimulation to use the bathroom, a heat source to help regulate body temperature, and close monitoring by the caregiver.

Meet Bo Animal ID #: 61065563🐾

Bo was a very loved family member when he unfortunately got loose and was struck by a vehicle😔 His family could not afford treatment and they were faced with a very selfless decision - proceed with euthanasia at the Veterinary Office or surrender him to Animal Control in hopes we can secure rescue placement. They chose the latter and we are determined to find Bo the care he needs🤞

Bo is a 1 year old shepherd/husky mix. He weighs 61lbs and is already neutered and tested negative for HW disease. He's been well cared for🥺 Bo will need to see an orthopedic surgeon for consultation to determine if orthopedic surgery is feasible or if amputation is recommended. We currently have Bo on mediation to keep him comfortable while he awaits a higher level of care. Despite being in discomfort, Bo manages to wag his tail and he’s been the most tolerant patient with our veterinary team🤍

This senior girl comes to us as a stray. The location she was found in is often a “dumping site” due to its rural location😔
Clementine’s body tell us she’s either lived a very hard life, or that she hasn’t received proper care in a long time, or possibly a combination of both.

At 8 years old Clementine comes to us with mildly full mammary glands and we suspect she’s had many litters over the years. As we often discover in unaltered females, she also has mammary masses. She tested positive for HW disease and has a stiff gait due to muscle atrophy.

Clementine deserves only the best in her golden years💛 She walks leisurely on leash, she’s quiet in her kennel, and she’s calm and gentle in demeanor. In typical old lady nature, she can be a bit crabby to overly persistent energetic pups. Sniffing around the yard with another dog would be more her speed. Let’s get this girl into home with a soft warm bed and out of this noisy shelter🐾
