The Nautilus Salt Water Spa at Tahoe Equine offers cold water therapy to the horse’s lower legs, aiding in recovery from injuries, managing inflammation, and more. 8-Horse Eurociser
Tahoe Equine’s new facility offers an 80’ Centaur Eurociser that can exercise 8 horses at consistent speeds ranging from a walk to a full gallop. Unlike traditional hot walker designs, the Eurociser style allows the horse to move freely in its compartment at its own speed without being pulled forward. This natural movement in a safe, controlled environment is outstanding for rebuilding strength following injury. Our Eurociser is always used to warm up the horses before use of the AquaTread. 🐴 TAHOE EQUINE IS LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM!
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join us part-time and help with daily horse care and barn operations at Tahoe Equine Rehabilitation & Conditioning.

We’re primarily looking for someone who can help with morning and evening horse care, especially on weekends. Weekend shifts would generally be up to 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening around feeding times. If you have more availability, there is definitely room to pick up additional shifts throughout the week as our schedule and horse numbers allow. Hours may vary depending on the number of horses we are caring for at the time and the needs of the facility.

Responsibilities will include:
• Morning & evening feeding
• Stall cleaning
• Maintaining clean, safe, and organized horse areas
• General barn chores and assisting with day-to-day horse care
• Helping ensure our horses are well cared for and comfortable

🐎 Experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person. We’re looking for someone dependable, attentive, comfortable around horses, and willing to work hard.

Pay depends on experience.

There is also room for growth within our rehabilitation facility for someone who is interested in learning more about equine rehabilitation, conditioning, and the day-to-day operations of a busy equine facility.

While many horses are medically stable enough to leave the hospital, not every owner has the time, facilities, experience, or physical ability to provide the level of care required for a full recovery.

We partner closely with referring veterinarians to ensure their treatment plans continue exactly as intended after discharge. Whether a horse requires frequent bandage changes, medication administration, controlled exercise, strict stall rest, rehabilitation therapies, foaling supervision, or simply professional daily observation, our experienced team provides the consistent care and oversight needed to support the best possible outcome.

Our goal is not to replace the veterinarian or the owner—it is to serve as an extension of both. We provide a safe, professionally managed environment where horses can recover, rehabilitate, and condition under veterinary direction until they are ready to return home.

From routine medical boarding and post-surgical recovery to intensive rehabilitation, performance conditioning, and specialized foaling services, Tahoe Equine offers individualized care tailored to each horse's needs while maintaining open communication with the referring veterinarian throughout the process.

It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves, and with so many new faces here, we figured now was the perfect time.

Welcome to Tahoe Equine Rehabilitation & Conditioning.

One of the biggest misconceptions about us is that we only do rehabilitation. While rehab is certainly a big part of what we do, it’s far from all we offer.

Our goal is to provide horses with the care they need—whether that’s something as simple as administering medications, changing bandages, or helping owners who don’t have the time or ability to provide specialized care, all the way to post-surgical rehabilitation, advanced therapy, customized conditioning programs, and performance maintenance.

No two horses are alike, which is why every program is tailored to the individual horse. We work with horses from all disciplines and all stages of life, helping them recover, build strength, improve performance, and stay feeling their best.

We also believe education is just as important as treatment. Throughout the year, we host hands-on educational events that bring horse owners, veterinarians, farriers, bodyworkers, and equine professionals together to learn more about the horse and continue advancing the standard of care within our industry.

At Tahoe Equine, we believe every horse deserves individualized care, and every owner deserves a trusted partner in their horse’s health and performance.

A bit of a delayed post, but one well worth sharing—June’s Distal Limb Dissection was an exceptional day from start to finish. It’s taken us a little time to sit down and reflect, as the season has kept us busy, but this event is one we haven’t stopped thinking about.

We were proud to welcome such a strong turnout and a group of attendees whose curiosity, engagement, and dedication to advancing their knowledge made the experience truly meaningful.

Opportunities like this—where hands-on learning meets thoughtful discussion—are at the heart of what we strive to provide. It’s a privilege to create a space where education and professional growth come together in a way that directly benefits the horses we serve.

There are moments in this work that truly remind us why we do what we do—and today was one of them.
We had the honor of welcoming a stunning c**t into the world, and it never gets old witnessing that very first breath, those first unsteady steps, and the beginning of a life full of promise. Moments like these are equal parts humbling and rewarding, and we never take lightly the trust placed in us to be part of such an important day.

Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to bring back our Distal Limb Dissection Event on April 17th — and we’re excited to offer this opportunity again for those who missed it the first time.

This event has been one of our most requested educational experiences, and we’ve heard from many of you asking for another chance to attend. So… we listened.

However, this is important:
We do not plan to repeat this Distal Limb event again for at least a few years as we continue expanding our education series.
