Always. Be. Beeping! This cheery little sun conure loves beeping, rope toys, and *pretending* he doesn’t adore kisses.

This lil’ baby was hatched on February 15th of this year and is ready to find love, mischief, and unguarded noodles.

As much as we try not to name the animals (lest they all end up in our employees houses), this cutie has earned the nickname “Sprite” for his appearance and his bubbly personality.

Come say hi! Bring apples.

These little guys are ALWAYS down to *pig* out! 😉

Right now we’ve got two cute lil’ babies with the loudest squeaks and wheeks you’ve ever heard. This one has a dramatic calico pattern and our other baby may or may not actually be a pile of caramel and marshmallow fluff. The jury is still out.

Our guinea pigs like to snack on bell peppers, apple chunks, cilantro, parsley, and carrot shreds. What fresh foods do your tiny furry friends go wild for? 👀

We’re stopping by the grocery store later today and I’m feeling adventurous. 💪

Veterinarian approved recommendations only, please. 🙏 🥰

This is one of our three hand-tamed cockatiels.

One of the best things about showing new employees around the shop is seeing how they adapt and become fascinated with animals outside their comfort zone.

(While we hire committed hobbyists, people usually start with one area they have an expertise in and are trained and grow to become experts on animals feathered, scaled, slimy, and fuzzy.)

The first time one of our new reptile-focused people cleaned this cockatiel’s display, the cockatiel flew up onto her shoulder and she froze. She then calmly walked out onto the sales floor and asked “What do I do?”

Now this cockatiel is her favorite (of the three) and he is very much enjoying the attention.

As we learn about animals, we learn about ourselves. So embrace the weird! The more you learn about an animal, the more you fall in love.

And this Mother’s Day, I want to thank my mom for encouraging me to follow my interests despite how much my fascination with snakes and spiders might have unsettled her. And I want to thank her for her patience as I stopped to save every single worm on the sidewalk anytime it rained. 😂

Cheers! To all the moms who give their kids a supportive space to learn, experience new things, and be themselves. Happy Mother’s Day. 💐

Our sale continues ✨ today & tomorrow. Bring mom! (Or a photo with her) and let her know she helped save a little cash.

And for the moms who break the mold: snakes, frogs, tarantulas, and geckos galore 💫

See y’all soon ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

🚨 Mother’s Day is this Sunday ‼️ The sale starts today!!

P.S. Rick doesn’t use Facebook much on his own so if nobody tells him about this he probably won’t see it. 😉 He didn’t think people would come in for the 20% off hardscape (rocks, woods, décor). I argued with him to include it. I would reeeeeeaaally like to prove him wrong so I can get future wonky ideas green-lit. So if you’re thinking about upgrading your tank scenery, now is 100% the time.

Pros:
Happier fish
Better looking tank
You help prove my boss wrong

Cons:
Idk, you spend money I guess buuuut it is on sale 👀👀👀
