We are sharing a Doberman Pinscher specific SPAY INCONTINENCE STUDY being conducted at UW-Madison. Contact Dr. Lauren Baker for more information. [email protected]
Dr Baker is a veterinary geneticist at UW-Madison, where they are running a study seeking to understand the genetic basis of acquired urinary incontinence in Doberman Pinschers. This study is funded by the AKC Canine Health Foundation.
The researchers are looking for spayed female Dobermans. If the dog has developed urinary incontinence, they would like them at any age. If the dog does not have a history of urinary incontinence, they would like them to have been spayed for at least 4 years. Participation involves a DNA sample (via blood or saliva) and completing a short questionnaire about their dog’s medical history.
Do you have any dogs that may fit this criteria? If so, contact Dr. Lauren Baker. [email protected]
