We're wrapping up the week by recognizing our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) here at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital! 🩺🐶🐱

Ever wonder what it takes to become an RVT? It's more than just a love for animals!

🎓 Education: Complete an approved veterinary technology program or qualify through California's alternate pathway.

🩺 Hands-On Experience: Develop skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory work, radiology, emergency care, and more!

📚 Examinations: Pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and meet California's licensing requirements.

📋 Registration: Complete the state's application, fingerprinting, and background-check requirements.

But beyond the education and credentials, being an RVT takes critical thinking, compassion, teamwork, and dedication!

These skilled professionals play an essential role in providing quality care for your furry family members every day. 🐾

It's National Veterinary Technician Week, and we're celebrating our Veterinary Assistants and Registered Veterinary Technicians here at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital! 🐶🐱🩺

First up... Veterinary Assistants!

Ever wonder what exactly a Veterinary Assistant does? 🤔

Spoiler alert: It's a WHOLE lot more than cuddling puppies and kittens! 🐾

From assisting with patient care and procedures to keeping the hospital running smoothly, our Veterinary Assistants play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our hospital.

💙 Throughout the week, we'll be introducing you to our Veterinary Assistants and sharing a little about the people behind the scrubs!
